  1. Is there one in Recommended Luthiers in the Repairs and Technical sub-forum?
  2. What kit have you got?
  3. Cracking clip! Many thanks.
  4. It doesn't make sense. I mean... how can you slide it inbetween a bumper?
  5. Welcome Bassfingerer.
  6. Welcome Mefgames.
  7. Welcome 404.
  8. "tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty you're listening to the boy from the big bad city, this is jam hot, this is jam hot" Dub Be Good to Me, Beats International.
  9. Welcome Ethan.
  10. I've had some Sapele boards and offcuts from Harlow Brothers of Derby. I'm not sure they'd have much in the way of exotic woods but I wouldn't dismiss the possibility without asking. They have a branch (imperceptible titter) at Burton on Trent too.
  11. I like it in its new, aldered state. Splendid repair job with credit to Mick for a positive start and a great choice of veneer.
  12. Welcome back Rich.
  13. Welcome Harvey, the titular. Your affliction has a name: GAS or Gear Acquisition Syndrome. Even air-bassists suffer with it. Once they're bored with the air in one room they go into another room and punctuate the air in there. Must admit though, it's a much cheaper affliction that way.
  14. I take your point. Just think of me as the divil's advocate.
  15. I think it's a great idea with the advantage that you can conveniently have all of your kit nicked in one little opportunist's swoop. Nicely executed though. I wish you well with it.
  16. Do you know of anyone with a bench saw (disc blade)? Band saws tend to be best at the shallower cuts. With a disc saw you can make more than one pass usually.
  17. Ah, the wisdom of age.
  18. They weren't bothered, they had millions to burn.
  19. Was that an 18V drill? For that large a diameter of hole-cutter you'd need something with a lot of torque and a decent size of grip to hold it steady.
