  1. I used to own one. It is relatively loud (much louder than the Roland) and very nice sounding. New it was a bit pricey but is well worth this £220 price IMO.
  2. I'd have prefered these kind of proportions (it is shorter too). About balance, the body might be thicker if a little smaller. As it is, it reminds me too much this ugly little Gibson studio's headstock.
  3. I think I'd like it better with their usual headstock shape. This looks like a very small headed bird.
  4. Spector was sounding quite criminal too. kinda call 007. Anyway, If they only clean dirty money selling basses we can expect a great value for low prices.
  5. The third, it is soldered on my board now. (Even more since I have ma mountainking megalith before it, that I can use as a volume and bass boost if desired).
  6. No mention of the EHX soul kitchen? edit Soul Food sorry.
  7. I've had lots of Stingrays, and very few lacked bottom end. More often they can lack body and sound a bit hollow comparing to a PB for example, but this is more about mids than low end IMO.
  8. "trans-brazilia" sounds like something with some strings and a long horn.
  9. What was futuristic is vintage now. Great bass Indeed.
  10. 300 watts RMS @ 8 or 4 ohms, 6 band tone controls, overdrive, selectable damping, compression with bypass, can accommodate 6550 or EL34 output tubes, (2) 1/4"; and (1) NL-4 (Speakon) output connections, International voltage selection 19 in. X 7 in. X 11.5 in. (4U space in rack) 42 lbs. Distortion Less Than .2% Frequency Response 20hz to 15khz
  11. Shedua is (flammed) ovangkol if I ain't wrong? Do you know the weight please?
  12. Though you make sense in a way I don't totally agree: swapping some bodies and necks on basses I had (Stingrays) let me hear huge différences that will be still hearable with active electronics corrections and lots of effects behind. Core tone of an instument is a big deal soundwise.
  13. Sounds like "Orion bass solo" to me. I think Cliff was playing his Aria then?
  14. I always believed that fatter strings had a more pronunced fundamental and less harmonics. It seems I was wrong.
  15. What a beauty! Why is it not gone already? Do you think it would be a "casting error" for a mostly rock/metalhead ? (as I've been told once upon a time, as I was salivating in front of a CR4). I'm usually playing musicmans or PB's.
