A set of USA Hipshot Ultralites has just sold for £50 too, plenty of bargains knocking around.

On here recently I've bought a pair of Nordstrand 5 string pups and a set of 5 Schaller tuners for the combined total of £120, there's been East preamps selling for under £100 and a Gotoh bridge on here at the moment for £40. No reason you can't put together a monster spec bass for £500-600 if you're patient, even less if you just want a basic Squier level neck and body.

I like the interesting and varied angles of the tuners, perhaps he has had a cetain forum favourite eBayer install them for him on a commission basis? Also how is that low B staying in the nut, is it tuned to pitch then expoxied in?

Use black nylon coated strings on an acoustic, sounds much better. Also ignore the poster who thinks you need special strings, that's nonsense.

That's the most 80s thing I've ever seen. They even got Screech from Saved by the Bell to play guitar.

I'm not gonna lie if that was half the price it would be strapped to my gigging bass next time out.

Although still not my cup of tea the sparkly shiny Arias do look pretty neat in videos, nice 3D effect to the finish when the bass moves.

As mentioned above I would try carefully removing some of the height of the fret marker with a sharp razor. Should be able to do that without creating too (if any) much polishing work for yourself later.

Should have just got a Warwick Streamer, same shape but sounds and plays miles better. A massive improvement on the original flawed design. 😁

Never sure why some people have such strong feelings regarding the MB aesthetic, I always thought they looked pretty neat personally. They carved out an identity for themselves and are instantly recognisable which is quite difficult to do, as soon as you see one on a stage you know it's a Mark Bass rig and it must be working as I tend to see an awful lot of them regardless of the setting or level of gig. I'd also argue that they are pretty consistent with their amp and cab lineup, they have regular ranges which they have been doing versions of for years and supplement that with more diverse products. For example you can buy a rig today which is almost identical to the 10 year old one I had up until last year, albeit with rat fur instead of nice tolex. Regarding the basses - neither floats my boat but the Richard Bona one looks alright and is obviously what he wants (which is what matters). Can't really fault them for doing a Fender style bass when almost every other manufacturer seems to offer one. Disappointed there is no yellow and black bass though.

That's a point, if the lead platform was IOS then it may be optimised for ARM. Then again the Pi is so underpowered even compared to the Bay Trail Atom I don't suppose that would really matter.

Yeah, never been a fan of his bass tone. Sounds good up the neck but on the low notes it's just a horrible mid range fart. Still compared to his singing it sounds glorious.

Nice one cheers, do you know what chipset the tablet has? I have a spare Windows tablet which has a Bay Trail Z3735 knocking around which I never use.

Has anybody tried the XR series with non-Apple hardware, specifically Atom based Win10 tablets (Bay Trail and Cherry Trail)?

There's a few sellers on AliExpress with counterfeit Foderas (and every other bass ever).

You can also get startlingly good gig recordings out of them too. We upgraded to the 32 channel Mackie which allows you to edit separate channels after recording, an amazing secondary feature to have IMO. Can just leave an external hard drive hooked up and record every gig.

Don't need to fill any holes as there is a sufficient amount of wood between the new and old holes although it would only take a few minutes to plug them I guess, just line it up with the string holes, mark the centres and drill new ones. I just used a Dremel, took 5 minutes to fit. That picture is intonated btw, there's another guy who fitted the same bridge on TalkBass and his B saddle looks further back than mine (well all of them do really), his actions looks to be very high though so maybe that's affecting intonation at the 12th fret.
