1.
Just about! Deposit-wise I'm done now. Just need to wait for it to be built! 3-4 weeks apparently. Out of stock of the transformers. Hm, just a random musing, but did your GT200 come with Speakon jacks as standard?
Yes Speakons as standard one per impedance tap
2. I don't know I absolutely love my Simms, if you're not in a rush I will be able to buy it sooner or later just waiting for my 400+ to sell, I have a buyer but not till the end of November.
3. I have 4 amps and 3 cabs I use in various combination for rigs. Our Innocence Lost Rig Matamp 4x10 Matamp 8x10 Alembic F-1X Mesa Boogie Strategy 400 Mesa Boogie Strategy 400 Practice/Studio Rig Dynacord MV15 Matamp 2x12 Small Gig Rig Simms Watt PA100 Matamp 2x12 Medium Gig Rig Simms Watt PA100 Matamp 4x10 Medium - Large Gig Simms Watt PA100x2 Matamp 8x10 (I can take both heads and power each side of the cab with an individual head) I play with a few people and dep occasionally but my main gigging setup is the Our Innocence Lost one.
4. It has 3 EL84's and 3 ECC83's Works flawlessly for 30minutes or so then a loud hum is introduced into the signal chain, signal still passes through it but I'm assuming it's a cap issue as I recall it has the original 50's dynacord caps in it. I'd like to keep it really but retubing 2 Strategy's is very expensive so don't have the spare cash for the Beck.
5. Trade for a Dynacord MV15 that needs a bit of a service? http://tinypic.com/useralbum.php?ua=45It2s...yPk4r7hoQ%3D%3D

Hey man feel free to bring it round to mine and I'll give it a crack if you want. Mine did it straight out of the box. Cheers
7. Why not get like an old Sound City 200 and get a local (decent) tech to turn it into exactly what you want since all/most of the parts are there for that Hiwatt amp. Also I believe it's quite hard to get the Hiwatt style amps to distort and they just have headroom for days, but this is only what guitarists tell me. Or buy my 400+ Cheers
8. Very very tempting, shame I'm getting my amp retubed at the moment, will have to see what else I can sell
9. Got this in a trade, not going to be using it anytime soon, I'll get some pics tonight, but its in good conditions few scuff's here and there that are difficult to show up in a photograph SOLD Here is a pic to get you started. Has velcro on the bottom and no box. Cheers
10. Get it or give me their number Looks in great condition, all of these were hand so some differences in the build could be apparent, I don;'t think a different scratchplate would make a huge difference, they are so unique and rare these days people are just happy to find them. I'm sure they are going for more than 1k usd on US Ebay
11. Or laughing at Ampeg who might get peeved
12. I'll be there, I'm very unmissable unless I get a hair cut
13.
The top cabs look like 8x8's.
They are rebadged SWR Henry's
14. Octaver sounds a little off on Sledgehammer. I want to hear you play the I wish bass line over Wild Wild West now
15. I'd also be interested in a midi cable or 2 and any stand alone midi interfaces. Also any XLR looms or Stage boxes
16.
It's pretty convincing - I have a mate with a Fotoflame MIJ Jazz and you really have to look closely to tell it's not real. Jon.
Or dent it
17. If you do that I'm not even bothing to learn the tracks I couldn't look more different from Tony Levin if I tried
18. Matamp will build/recover head enclosures, the more work you do the less they charge you so if you remove all the tolex and old glue which he will tell you how to do, then it will be quite cheap, but you'd have to call for a quote.
19. How long did the wife allow you to have it in the lounge like that for?
20. I'd love to own this, just need my 400+ to sell. Oh well
21. Bump Forgot to say I will chuck in a mesa footswitch for engaging the graphic eq with purchase of this amp.
22. Where are you based in the country I can't afford the Alembic but I'd love a lesson and a go on the status *ninja*
23.
Thanks very much Chris I appreciate that coming from someone who predominantly plays fretless. Only effects I had on was a Mojohand Cream Pie overdrive set to minimum gain for a fattening of the clean tone, then into a Boss OC-2. No compression or anything else added, just recorded via webcam and then uploaded to YouTube
Plenty of compression added with that webcam and youtube upload
24. If you have any XLR patch bays, mic splitters or rackmount DI's Also like Finbar those short mic stands for mic'ing cabs I could also be interested in a headphone amp if you have one lying around. Cheers
25. Nah mate in all honesty very very good, excellent usage of the OC-2 getting it to stay that clean.
