1. Withdraw it already
2. Come hang out at mine mate we'll get that sorted, I'm down at Matamp on Sunday if you fancy a shorter trip to Huddersfield, I have a friend that might be able to pick you up next time I have a gathering.
3. I can't type what I'm actually thinking now. But needless to say, you are *&(%*&^%*&^$*%^£$&^%£&£$%^%(*()_*^^$*%£^%"%$£"^$%
4. http://www.burnsguitarmuseum.com/bass2.html Baldwin 704 Bass (1967-70) We have not covered Baldwin very extensively, but here is one. This is one of the few new models they came up with. Jim Burns' involvement in the 700 series of semi-acoustics was somewhat minimal, and these models bear little of his design. They must be ranked as the most characterless of all Burns and Baldwin instruments. The bass has two double Pole Bass type of pickups, standard finish in golden sunburst or solid red, and rosewood fingerboards. That's it Still makes me want it
5. Are you willing to ship it? Cheers
6. So Umcoo this has nothing to do with the Orange slave amp I know is floating around in the ether
7.
It's an originals band, I was sent 5 tracks to learn. We have to tighten those up, then there's 3 more "in progress" so once those are worked out and tightened up that'll be enough for a 30 minute opening set somewhere in town
Give us a shout if you want a Manchester gig
8. Just posted in your wanted post I've had a word with the factory and as Jeff is doing a few anyway he said there is no problem what so ever doing yours for the 10th.
9. My problem with the Yamaha's were they feel like the BB404 and 604 counterparts interms of neck finish. It's crazy when it's to capture the tone of the old 80's ones that they cost way more than what one of those would, it's like Fender going here is a 1975 all original £600 please or you can have an RI for £3000. Nice basses but I won't be buying one, I may look at a cheaper line and get new pickups and electronics if the build is good on them.
10. Yeah well longer you leave it less chance of getting it done for the 10th They are there late most nights. I'm so excited about mine, just umming and ahhhing over the speaker corners as the grill on this new one is black cloth but my others are stainless steel and therefore have nickel corners but this one I was thinking black and have the headcase match, but then is the headcase going to look stupid ontop of the 8x10 or 4x10 with nickel corners, when it had black ones????? Terrible I know
11. Yeah he told me mine would/could be built for Wednesday and he'd order the speakers to get there for Friday which is like the 4th. I'll happily leave mine a week if it means you can get yours done. Have you spoken to Jeff yet?
12. FYI TheButler spoken to Jeff about my cab and mentioned that you will be calling, try and do it asap because he's ordering the speakers soon for mine and Umcoo's. Also just specify to him exactly what you are after sound wise as I have the Standard model and Monz has a tweaked version. Cheers
13. Do you have any of the following Joni Mitchell - Hejera Joni Mitchell - Mingus Led Zeppelin Any The Who Any Joy Division Any Beatles Any Michael Jackson - Dangerous Guns N Roses Any Cheers
14.

Can see Monz's rig nice and clear there in the background
15. Yeah probably, I know Jeff is there today as i called him earlier, I'm not sure about delivery as I've never had to do it but just ask him about options
16. Ok Cab has left the building but we managed to get measurements before it left. 30kgs h74cm x w56cm x d37cm How this includes the skids on the bottom and the handles on the side which are partly recessed but curved so stick out a tiny bit. I've now ordered my new red one hopefully be ready for Saturday when I'll get my red headcase made as well. Cheers guys
17. SOLD Thanks for all the interest guy's I'll post specs and stuff anyway so people know. Not sure about efficiency but I don't do quiet
18. Ok, right, this is going to sound really stupid or possibly really clever as there is maths involved. I have the first Matamp bass 2x12 made about 2 months ago and it is stunning, loud, small, lightweight etc etc. Only issue is it's black and all my other Matamp cabs are red> Having swapped a preamp valve over in my 400+ I think I'll be keeping it and getting a headcase similar to Ashevan09 one. Which leaves the dilemma, if you have 1 cab that is black and 2 cabs that are red what colour do you get a headcase for a 400+ in????? So these cost £350 new, it will cost me around £100 to have it recovered but seems a shame to waste all this perfectly good tolex so I'm willing to let it go for £250 so that someone can get a great cab and I can get another great cab in a different colour see that was the maths. I'm not willing to go below this price as anything over £100 quid loss on the cab I might as well get it recovered. I'll post the dimensions later but its a 600w 2x12, now because I have lots of vintage amps I got this so it was switchable between 16ohms and 4ohms. I've always felt the sound is very much what you get in you get out, if you put a 100w vintage tube amp through it while playing a bass with flats you get a huge thumpy sound from it, but dial in the clarity on your bass and you can get beautiful even high end. To me this is the best small cab I've ever used. Also this means I can wrap up the new one and pretend someone loves me on Christmas morning So to be clear £250 no offers, no trades and collection only Based near Manchester
19. Yeah sell the Airsoft and buy Nerf, much cheaper and far more fun
20. OMG But yes you are a fool
21. It's slowly creeping up in price apparently
22.
They need to do something about the noise as even though they have double doors, the racket from outsid ethe auditorium was very noticeable up until the vendors started to dismantle their stands. It didn't help to have Yolanda right next to the theatre door with Matamp and yamaha right next to her. There were several stands on the lower floor not making any noise that could have been swapped with the amplified vendors. Just turning the bloody things down would have helped.
I'm up for anything that involves me not having to carry all my gear upstairs.
23.
We definately need some more genres covered, rock for instance. Let's get Tony Levin, JJ Burnel, and how about Steve Harris next year??
OMG I would love to see Tony Levin there, also a vote for Pino
