  1. Primarily I’m not much of a fan of compression. I really liked the eq circuit. I’m interested to try the Lusithand Rosa in the hope its the same eq just in an overdrive. It’s the feel of it really, possibly due to lack of knowledge. I love compression in the studio but I’ve never found one I like on a pedalboard. I could really hear the envelope of attack on the Diamond with how I play. I prefer a more subtle limiting but tonally what it does just being in path is really nice. Also I must point out I feel like I’m operating in the top 1% of pedals, there are no bad pedals here, everything is great, just something suit me a little more than others and I just didn’t see where it would fit with the Punchline. Mostly though @Sibob wanted it and I’m a sucker for an easy sale.
  2. Shiftline Olympic Mk3s Absolutely love this pedal, immediately sold it in a post gig rage. But it’s very very similar to the Punchline yet less versatile and since I didn’t like the Diamond Comp or DCX the Punchline remains undefeated. This would be my go to preamp/di on a small board, I have it planned in my head and as soon as the right gig comes along for it I’ll buy one again 😅 Anyway enjoy, few more vids coming this week.
  3. Just wouldn’t have been possible on the last gig, no spare mics, inexperienced sound guy and I’m just the sideman who can’t be making such demands/adding so much complexity just for me
  4. I’d run Cali - DCX - Stomp then, get a sol underneath a nano and drop the JDI on the floor for ampless gigs. Keep the tuner if you can fit it. Simple and then the rest, sell it 🤷‍♂️, put it all on a nano+ for fun 🤷‍♂️ whatever suits
  5. One of my favourite flyrigs. I just don’t use it. Basically a boost, big muff, ampeg amp sim and a Boss OC2 clone. It’s the same octave circuit as the Sonicake Octaver and Valeton OC10 which if you’ve seen my octaver comparisons nail that OC2 tone. DI out and fx loop, honestly if it had a tuner it would be perfect. But it doesn’t and I cover most of my gigs with the Darkglass Element

  7. So obviously this is a hugely long thread so I’ve not been able to check if someone is already doing this. But basically I had a really bad gig the other day (fine out front and performance etc) but my IEM mix was awful, so it just ruins my enjoyment. I was using my new Cosmic Ears C8A’s and the isolation is absolute. So add in the PA only had the acoustic guitar, vocals and bass in it. My sound was lacking to say the least. I’ve always had to hack an IEM mix and my current pedalboard is built around a Behringer P2 (Tried a Passive Rockboard option and I need the boost of an active circuit) doing XLR/Jack conversion and Stereo/Mono conversion (so I can take any type of feed basically) into the aux in on a Darkglass Element. So this gives me a blend between bass and feed. Works really well, was on tour in March/April and it was some of the best sound I’ve ever had. But at the time I didn’t have my moulded IEMS and the band was going through the PA. Anyway, I’d thought for ages about like an ambient pack or something. I know a few options exist but they only work with specific IEMs or are quite expensive. Then I saw a content creator recommend these, they were recording guitar and vocals at the same time. https://rode.com/en/products/wirelesspro And it dawned on me I could use the receiver as a wireless IEM pack. Run out of the element headphone into the 3.5mm in on one of the transmitters and stick the other transmitter somewhere central on the stage/on the singer/ or even wear it myself. This would allow me to blend in whats going on on stage, whats in the PA and my bass. Same setup could be used for just running out of the headphone out on the mixer into one of these wireless transmitters blah blah. So it gives me a versatile way to hack a feed which just seems to be all I can ever do. Can also click a button and record everything going through them which is an added bonus. Other than that I think I’ll have to practice and get better gigs, but who wants to do that 🤮 So anyone doing this? Any issues anyone can see (except latency, I imagine it’s the same as any digital wireless system), blowing the mics out of the transmitters first snare hit?
  8. Is there an amp in the mix of this? I’d either embrace the stomp and have that do all this or have fun with a bunch of drive pedals. The Kasleder Albatross, SGFX Beta MK1 or 2 would work well. But if you’re attached to the Cali and DCX, I’d add a JPTR Jive and the Proton and the aesthetic would be 👌
  9. As above, would need to know the use case. But I would get a D’addario xpnd, wire it with the B7K (though I’d personally go for something from Sushibox or a DG Element) at the end, with the board slightly pulled out. This will give you enough space on the main board for Tuner - Comp - MXR BOD and 2 other pedals of your choice (C4/Aftershock 🤷‍♂️). Get to the gig, slide the board open stick the stomp between the B7k and the other last pedal. That would give you more or less all the functionality of everything I’m seeing here in a very compact easy to carry setup.
  10. I have a video to upload of it. You can definitely hear it working and I don’t have much more feedback than that on, not that you asked me, but this opinion is why Si owns it now 😅
  11. It’ll take full scale, the biggest issue is the gigbag you use. I did travel for a while with a Fender Mustang in a Gruv Gear Edge and it was great. A short scale certainly won’t be sliding about in it, it’s a tight fit with basically anything I’ve put in it.
  12. I mean I could.. Wasn't really planning on it but I don't think I need 12 DI’s
  13. Absolutely brand new, bought to replace my Behringer P2 as it’s got the mono/stereo switch on the top and it’s passive. Well turns out I get such crappy IEM feeds I need the boost of the Behringer and I’m moving over to a wireless system anyway. XLR/TRS/TS in, 3.5mm out with volume control and mono (dual mono) and stereo switch. I was taking anything the FOH could give me and then running the 3.5mm out into the aux in of the Element to give me a little 2 channel pedalboard mixer.
  14. Bought recently mainly to scratch the itch and record some videos with it. Great condition and full working order, no box and no instructions, Velcro on the bottom.
  15. Yeah the XPND only thing I don’t love about it is not a lot of space underneath.
  16. I think it’s my absolute favourite board. Keep thinking about ditching the BCB1000 and just having 2 of these
  17. https://amzn.eu/d/evVT5CL with a pb3 in the pocket
  18. Both are on my list of I should probably sell 😂
  19. So for all this, I’m gigging this tomorrow. In my defence it would be more complex if the postman knew how to knock on the neighbours door
  20. Sold pending payment
  21. Open to offers on the dunlops, I don’t have any shortscale basses anymore so they’re just taking space in a drawer.
  22. Great condition saturator and light modulation/delay pedal. Add warm dimensionality and luscious tape saturation to your signal. Teleport the tones of yesteryear to your board. Effortlessly create a huge range of beautiful, distinctive, and enveloping vintage sounds. Our journey begins with the early recording studios of the ’50s and ’60s. The introduction of reel-to-reel tape machines and the creative engineers that used them brought on some of the fattest sounds imaginable. These early machines really were the first effects pedals — they just wouldn’t have fit on your pedalboard! Open to offers and trades
  23. I have 2 of these, don’t use either 😅 Great quality passive di. Open to offers and trades
