1. I'd love to own this, just need my 400+ to sell. Oh well
2. Bump Forgot to say I will chuck in a mesa footswitch for engaging the graphic eq with purchase of this amp.
3. Where are you based in the country I can't afford the Alembic but I'd love a lesson and a go on the status *ninja*
4.
Thanks very much Chris I appreciate that coming from someone who predominantly plays fretless. Only effects I had on was a Mojohand Cream Pie overdrive set to minimum gain for a fattening of the clean tone, then into a Boss OC-2. No compression or anything else added, just recorded via webcam and then uploaded to YouTube
Plenty of compression added with that webcam and youtube upload
5. If you have any XLR patch bays, mic splitters or rackmount DI's Also like Finbar those short mic stands for mic'ing cabs I could also be interested in a headphone amp if you have one lying around. Cheers
6. Nah mate in all honesty very very good, excellent usage of the OC-2 getting it to stay that clean.
7. Make all the excuses you want for being crap
8. Man I'd love to do this but too much hair and not enough time.
9. Sounds like a phasing issue to me
10. Bump Offers? Trades?
11. Can you PM me a price without shipping since I can collect and if you've got a picture as well that would be great. Cheers P.S. Incase it isn't clear I will most likely take this
12. Cool a Zombie thread just before halloween. QUICK CUT IT'S HEAD OFF
13. Where abouts are you located as Soundsgreat is fairly local to me as well. Is it the newer one with the holes in the back? Cheers
14. +1 this really is a very very unique wah, absolutely stunning, I'm tempted to pickup the expression one again to pair with my Line 6 M13 so I can have the hand held cool stuff available again.
15. Stock Mesa 12AX7's I never really messed with it much.
16. Is that in mm or metre or parsecs
17. From when I owned one http://www.grygrx.net/bass/tayste/Mesa%20Bottle%20Rocket.mp3
18. And vice versa if you find yourself in Manchester and want to hear your basses through an 800w all tube rig
19.
I see... It's a tempting offer, but you'll understand if I decline
No I don't understand, you have insulted me and my family. Noticed your in Southport, my band was on Dune FM the other weekend for a 2 hour show, nice place.
20.
Why do you find the 36" better?
I tune ADGCF I have a trans black Evo and it does not look this nice so you made a good choice, but you know if you want to swap
21. That is super nice, any pics of your other Overwater? I own a Progress and an Evolution, hoping to get another Evolution soon, but think I'd prefer another 36inch scale over the 35.
Just updated my firmware last night and gave it a bash - I like the little things they've added in, like the heel/toe pixels and the relative pots, but they weren't essential. However, I'm left slightly unimpressed by the octaver Got some good drive sounds out of it to my surprise! 3 or 4 of them really work well I think with a bit of tweaking. Still nothing I prefer to my stomps though. The filters and delays etc are very nice and am happy to replace my pedals with them. I'm also very impressed with having a separate noise gate for each scene, and a really good noise gate at that! One of the biggest surprises about the unit for me Go and look in the stickied pedalboards thread - tayste's one is in there and on a pedaltrain jnr or mini (I forget which one!) No, you need a dedicated power supply AFAIK. Pain in the arse, still trying to find a way round it! You are correct. Connect a regular patch lead between the expression pedal input on the M9, and the output jack of the EB pedal.
My M9 is on a PT Mini, if you put it on a Jr you'd get it and eb vol pedal and 3 other fx on there, it is shockingly small pretty much the size of a xx4 series pedal. What didn't you like about the octaver? Bare in mind there are 6 octaver/pitch shifting options (ish) in this pedal, personally I love them all. I was playing to my band today and added a 5th up to what i was playing, sounded great. I really love the M9 even more than the M13
Just a quick question about a tremolo on there. Can an expression pedal be used to control the depth? And when the pedal is back at the heel position, would this just give you your normal clean bass tone or would it still be a weak tremolo?
The expression pedal can control any parameter of any fx and can control more than one at a time, so say in heel position you have reduced the depth (bare in mind you set the max and min so it could be 20% and 80% not just all or nothing), but say you found this a bit thin sounding you could also have it reduce the mix to put more of your original signal in to thicken it up.
