  1. One of the most obvious ones would be Hendrix's version of Dylan's All Along The Watchtower Everyone and their mum has covered Born Under A Bad Sign, so its a difficult choice, but i like the Kenny Wayne Shepherd cover
  2. How things change over the months. The hair's gone in a fit of extra boredom
  3. Proof that it can be done with taste. Nice one, Melvin
  4. Bit OT, sorry, but i used to get Prince mixed up with Jesse Johnson back in the 80's. Equally good musicians, but Prince was a multi instrumentalist, and not sure about Johnson Still , Johnson was magic on that there geeeeeter. Kicks in for real about 2:50 if you cant wait and a bit more after that at 4:15
  5. His mum must have warned him about talking to stangers.
  6. That was excellent. Rivetting stuff By the way... which one's Pink ?
  7. Here's a treat for JM fans. This is the live version of Rainy Night House i mentioned. I have this on CD too Absolutely beautiful bass by Max Bennett. And check the control she has over her voice. Remember this is live, and not a flaw anywhere. Best under headphones ...awesome
  8. Jeeeeez. 2.5mm I could get over excursion on that TF just by blowing on it
  9. A winch would be useful.. Great job on that cab, as it looks awesome

    Jazz

The covers were aftermarket, but they're being replaced with Barts very soon. Next week according to Thomann The switches are a passive/active, and the other is used to either have a blend of both pups equally, when in passive, or bridge pup only when in passive

Some better shots. Fender Hi-mass and J Retro 01, and as i speak, there's some Bart Classic pups on the way from Thomann
  12. Its only someone's opinion, so these rankings are meaningless but we all know that. I have several JM CD's and my own meaningless opinion is that Hejira , Court n Spark, and Hissing of Summer Lawns should be top 3. I have all 3 and if i had to push one into top spot, it would be Court n Spark, but i love all three I will give a shout out to the live " Miles of Aisles " and not least because there's a wonderful live rendition of Rainy Night House. Supposedly written about Leonard Cohen, but its just something i read somewhere many decades ago, so take with a pinch of salt
  13. I'm alive and kicking Andy, thanks mate ! Yes, its an ex Retrovibe neck, and its stated as such in Peter's original thread. To re-iterate, it's one of only ( or was ) 2 white P/J vibes he built. I believe he became Chowny at some point. It was a very well built and accurate neck.
  14. Ah yes. TNT Back in the 80's when i was a London Motorbike courier, everyone in the trade called them Tomorrow Not Today. Things have probably changed these days though
  15. I just did a fake parcel around the same dimensions as a bass and i didnt get any UPS quotes either
  16. Superbly packed J retro Great to deal with - Cheers Dan
  17. Nothing to add that helps but another vid of Charlie and his Tele
  18. I might have to join that, as i have a Pro SB 900 that i'm planning to sell at some point
  19. You really have to try Mombai Tench, then. Thats an eye opener
  20. Oooof !!
  21. I've had gear from GAK, without a hint of trouble
  22. Personally, i couldnt care less about his sub par bass playing. It aint that bad, but he is a song writing genius and that is an art thats way beyond playing a bass. I wish i had some of that writing talent
  23. I've added some text to the post above while you were replying Dave. Seemed like he was boss and shop manager at the time. Maybe they furloughed some staff? I've had a major issue with BD. Its been documented, but a bass i paid £ 1500 for , went to BD for a commision sale and it disappeared, and i got told a pack of lies. I had to do the same with him, send the same sort of email that i sent HW Audio
