Yeah, as long as Neil's near the top, I can cope. Have to say I was expecting fewer actual legends and more random, newer faces.

Yeah - very wasteful, especially as the guitars are so lovingly made! His wailing does get a bit (totally) incomprehensible sometimes, and they are still doing the rock/dystopia theme again, and again, but there are some quality tracks. The 2nd Law is half a great album, with some very good lyrics, and ofc Origin of Symmetry is outstanding. I do like the drumming - a lot of it could be done in a far more straight ahead style, so it adds a nice dimension to the music.

[/quote] Original most definitely - the band were right on it with the percussion and horns and all those Jazzmasters! She's an artist I don't really listen to but then she pops up on Glasto or other festivals, ageless as ever, and I think: she knows her music inside out and what she wants to do with it. A proper artist.

Geddy's sound comes mainly from a very thick nail on his index finger, which grew back like that after he broke it as a kid. So he sort of picks while using fingers. But yes, also flapping flamenco style.

PJ Harvey was quite good; her usual kooky eclectic self. Good backing band too.

They are tight and do a good show too with the lights and effects. They're all great players too. Matt's just too talented for one person - it's not fair!

Dunno - it's proper groove led rawk - love the bass work. It's like modern day Rush.

Roland do a street cube for that very purpose, with dual inputs for instrument and vocals I believe.
