  1. He’s also a very patient chap to put up with Mr Mustaine all these years. There’s some youtube vids of him playing promotional slots at US guitar shops and he does some classic Megadeth tracks to backing: Five Magics shows what an epic pick player he is: total control and consistency. Megadeth when he hasn’t recorded with them are just a boring thrash band.
  2. Lovely - it looks like it means business doesn't it
  3. That's the skill of bands like Rush and Dream Theater - to play what sounds like 'just a good song' and yet it's complex if you really listen to it. Disappear - Dream Theater Tiberius - Smashing Pumpkins
  4. Starless - 13/4 and 13/8. Carve Away the Stone - Rush - it has 3/4, 4/4. 5/4, 6/4 and 7/4 in it
  5. Hah. You know this is true. I don't gig, practice, use a PC for plugins etc. so it's no appeal for me I think (someone will be on to correct me) - but it is one of those useful tools that will probably prove handy.
  6. It's certainly a box of tricks. I think you'll find it's 'reassuringly expensive'!
  7. That's really smart - but yes; they've used one neck design for fretted and just replaced frets with lines for fretless - tsk, dots and markers in the middle. I do like the concept though.
  8. I dunno; she got 4 kids as consolation prize for your heroic victories.
  9. Wahey, I too am in the Dystopian Hellscape of Halifax!
  10. Welcome from the same county!
  11. Manages to fit in what looks like a conspiracy theory about Building 7 WTC too; classy.
  12. Here's me thinking some burly craft-scissors and the finishing-cling film from the acoustic build would do the trick...
  13. Look at that finish - cripes!!
  14. That's so outlandish, even @Happy Jack might not want it on his wall of Mystery Basses.
  15. Yes - I love the ribbing.
  16. I’ll settle for listening to it on Spotify! Lockdown poverty!
  17. That was brilliant, thanks. Loved the accurate playing renditions of the musicians, all the song references, and the general nerdery of the animation. *must not cry*
  18. Alpher too: but they are all in with wacky finishes and amazeballs looks
  19. If you play fast enough, no one will notice. *Reader: I do not play fast enough.
  20. Calm down you lot - this thread's just stalling time until we've all formulated our ideas on tone woods.
  21. Which Metal is best for bridges?...
  22. Ooh - ooh. Errr. 1. Dingwall Combustion 6 (I mean obviously I'd like an ABII 6, but I am at least being semi-serious) 2. Fender Geddy Lee Jazz 3. Warwick Corvette $$ 5 I mean obviously I'd love a Wal, a really shiny coloured Spector, a Chapman Stick, Mr Patitucci's newest signature bass, an ACG, and a Sandberg VM5 - but y'know - more kids than spare bedrooms for music gear...
  23. Oof - that's a lovely combo - fretless, creamy, reddy pguard.
