2. No real idea of the cause. A suggestion, though. If you still have an old set of strings, try them on the bass again. If the results are the same, it's the bass. If not, it's probably a duff set of strings.
 3. Ladies and Gentlemen of the West Midlands (and near-ish areas ) bass playing fraternity. The date for the WMBB is set for 27th November, 1-6pm, at the Asylum2(upstairs bar) at Madhouse Studios, Birmingam. Deposit has been paid, so no turning back now!!!! Please list yays and nays. More accurate details of venue location etc to follow................ Nige
 4.
To get things moving - I am going to propose a date of Sunday 27th November. Does this suit most people ? If so then we can get it booked. Is that something you can deal with yorick/Ian Savage ? Depending on numbers £5-10 each and any profit goes to a nominated charity. When we've got a date booked we can make a who's coming and bringing what list .
Will speak to the powers that be ASAP

This after a two hundred mile drive, playing for 45 minutes, waiting four hours for him to finish brown nosing the other bands and the organiser, a two hundred mile drive home, arriving home at five thirty in the morning, and earning the princely sum of £15!!! I have the noose ready

 10.
Nice one Yorick, beat me to it! So if we can get a couple of dozen of us only a couple of quid or so each, I could live with that - would we get use of the PA with that too? I'd assume not, but I could lash something together myself if needs be (oh, and I haz teh limited drumming skillz also )
Not sure about the PA, might be able to swing something on the cheap. Next time i see Rich, i'll get a proper all in price as well, inc. bar!!!!
 11. Spoke to Rich at Madhouse, who books the stuff at the upstairs bar (Asylum2), looking at around £50 for a sunday afternoon 1-6.00pm ish.

 17.
If only this was finished in White, been after one for a while, may still consider an orange one, is it still for sale?
Still for sale
 18.
Ain't this a 400w?
You could well be right, i assumed it was the same power handling as the SP210 cabs. Will double check to night and amend if necessary.

 20. Somewhere between here...............................................and here
 21. Just acquired a drum machine from Nick. Well packaged, as decribed, and arrived quickly. Cheers
 22. Owned a JM4 for yonks now. Well made, sound great. The neck width on mine at the nut is 38.75mm(yes i have some digital verniers) Mine has Delano MM and J pickups, Glockenklang preamp with two band eq, active/passive and a coil tap for the MM. Overall, a great versatile bass, well worth the dosh.
 23. I had John Diggins build me a mahogany bodied bass years ago, with pretty much that finish. All he used was a thin satin lacquer coat. It will shine up with use though......
 24. Or on a cheaper budget, the Behringer BDI21. Budget version of the Sansamp
