I'm currently working on two guitar projects. One had its polyurethane removed and sprayed over the other sprayed onto polyurethane. I believe that it's all psychological. BUT I read somewhere as mentioned above that nitrocellulose finish sounds different to polyurethane finish. Whether it sounds better is a personal preference. I think it's important to visually like your instruments but a minor aesthetics change may have a minor impact on the sound.

I played signature Steve Harris with West Ham logo. Neck is slimmer than the previous Royal blue model.

I don't play in bands but from my experience when I play bass on it's own it tends to sound just the way i like it. Particularly through headphones. However, when I record it and start adding guitars and drums it seems to disappear. This is when eq and compression comes in. You don't want your bass to sound same frequencies as other instruments. Tried adding a little overdrive?

Si, Can you suggest any midi with Ableton live lite? I'm thinking M audio 49 keystation or M audio oxygen 49.

From above posts I pressume I can connect midi to laptop via interface. or midi direct to laptop using adaptor?
