  1. My first deal here as a newbee was with Ville. Such a nice and trustful person. Hope you are getting better.
  2. The internal preamp is sonically closer to a passive pickup on all X version of EMG's.

  4. That is THE Fodera I would buy (unfortunately I have too many high end basses). GLWYS !
  5. I watched the two videos as I have time ... today. The only missing things in the first video are a broom to put in his a$$ and some light reflection in the tuba to have a glowing halo around his head... I really do prefer the way that the Rosenberg brothers are enjoying the same tune, way much more fun in it.
  6. These are indeed terrific basses and I'm the one who sold the last one here, which was very highly upgraded...
  7. Sorry mate, but continuous power is absolutely not RMS power : check your books.
  8. Look 8 posts before yours, I've put the specs that are on their website and there's absolutely no mention of the RMS power... That said, the Mike Pope Flexcore 4 bands preamp is terrific and certainly the most transparent you will ever find. I had three in three different basses and still have one in one of my basses : really great stuff.
  9. And all the specs are rather vague : Power Output: 8 Ohms: (Continuous Power ‐ 253W @ .13% THD, 365W @1% THD), (Peak 506W @ .13% THD, 730W @1% THD) 4 Ohms: (Continuous Power ‐ 312W @ .13% THD, 702W @1% THD), (Peak 625W @ .13% THD, 1404W @1% THD) Power Amplifier: Class D with Switch‐Mode Power Supply Pre‐Amp: Low noise, all analog, solid state Input: ¼” Phone with switchable attenuation and rotary gain control Input Level Indicator: Signal level and Clip LEDs (green/red) EQ: 4 Band Switchable Shelving Bass and Treble with selectable Hi‐Pass frequencies. Low‐Mid and Hi ‐Mid ‐Variable Gain, Band Pass EQ with selectable frequency / bandwidth options Master Volume: Rotary Control Line In: 1/8″ mini jack Headphone Out: Stereo ¼” Phone jack Mute Switch: mini toggle AC Mains: 85‐132V, 195‐264V, 45‐65 Hz, 1000VA (Worldwide usage) AC Mains Indicator: Blue LED EFX Loop: Series Direct Out: 600 Ohm Balanced, XLR, Pre/Post, Ground Lift and Level control Speaker Output: 1 x Neutrik Combi‐Connectors Chassis: Aircraft grade aluminum w/removable rubber feet Rack Ears: (Optional) Size: (H x W x D in.) 3.3 x 15.1 x 8 (inches) Weight: 5.0 lbs. No RMS indication, but continuous power. No indication of the frequency used for the power announced. No preamp frequencies indications, nor their boost/cut capabilities. Very American behaviour. And it's getting worse for the box : TF112 Specifications 1 x 12” proprietary Neodymium speaker built by Eminence® HF driver (3500-20,000 Hz) 80° conical horn 300 watts peak handling Custom crossover with peak protection and HF Attenuation 2 x NL2 Combo connectors Baltic Birch Dado and Rabbet Joint Construction 8 ohms Freq. Resp. 35Hz – 16kHz Metal handles, metal corners, rubber feet Acoustically transparent cloth grille 22 oz. sharkskin vinyl H 14 7/8 x W 19 x D 18 Weight: 36.2 lbs. Made in the USA Here no pressure or sound level indicated, no indication if it's a bass reflex construction, 300 Watts peak handling means absolutely nothing. Sorry guys, but the technical informations are lacking a lot of precision. Again very American approach... That said, Scott is always a delight to watch, so much fun in the way he is talking and acting. And that Fodera looks gorgeous and expensive... 🤑
  10. No, that's not me but another Chris. That said, the Logabass is not a Leduc, but only an instrument designed by him and made by Sanox. Funnily, for an unknown reason, these Sanox basses resell very well, when real Leduc's tend to be harder to sell. Look at my signature if you want to know which Leduc's I own for the moment, and, man I had a lot, something like 20 or 30... I'm some kind of second hand market price marker as Christophe, who now is a friend, is always telling.
  11. I know the feeling too as I still have at least five basses to sell, but I'm always finding good excuses for not doing it. For now it's these stupidly high temperatures as I like to take a lot of pictures for selling items. I'm too lazy to get outside, make some pictures and make the ads... But I'll end up doing it and put the money onto our family account as I don't need any other basses than my Leduc's nor any other amp than my AER and I don't use nor like effects. The funny thing is that I know it for ages. 🙄 So yes I fully understand your feeling.
  12. Gary bought two sets of Picato 766DBS from me. Great communication and fast payment. Would deal with him again. A++++++++ as they say elsewhere.
  13. This might help a lot. Listen to Franz Liszt as he had the idea of banishing the bars and measures in music. Then listen to Charles-Valentin Alkan who went further in the process by composing music without bars and time signature, even if the written music found will have both of them for pure classical notation purposes. Don't think in terms of measures, but phrases or movements rather than patterns and don't rely on the drummer, but on your internal perception of the flow. Listening to real Klezmer music will also help as they start together and join back in the end without taking care of the classical rhythm approach, but only listening to each other and sliding into uncontrolled time signature(s)... Learning Indian music will also help a lot, and listening to it, of course.
  14. My advice would be even simpler : follow the snare drum, not the bass drum as you'll get lost after the first measure. Don't try to understand and decompose the signature, but let the music flow. On the opposite, as I'm into weird time signatures (I've been listening to strange time signatures, being it classical, jazz or even rock, since I'm a teenager), it's hard for me to play in 4:4, I think because I get bored very quick.
  15. Had one too, and as I wrote, it's the best small combo ever.
  16. And we forgot the great Carles Benavent with Paco de Lucia (everything was played fretless !!!) He even played with Miles Davis and nowadays, he's been playing with Chick Corea... Listen to this and his amazing style of playing :
  17. That surely is a typo, as it must be this one (box picture is the same), unless it's a huge cardboard pick 🤣 : https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-5-String-Electric-Bass-Guitar/283063844850?hash=item41e7eb7ff2:g:BpEAAOSwTIhaX4Sh
