MoJoKe and BassBod added to the list - we're up to 34 now Re food, we've had a few kind offers of contributions but no need thanks - we're on top of it and will make sure there's enough for everybody. I've invited Scott Whitley too in case it fits in with his gigging schedule or possibly a meeting with Stephen Chown (Scott recently transferred the SWB-1 business to him). He says he'd like to come and I'm really hoping he'll be able to make it. I've got a pre-Chowny SWB-1 and it really is a neat bass.

David Koenig of Retrovibe has just confirmed that he'll be coming along with a selection of his stuff!

As someone who gigged Gibson basses for decades, what really does my head in about the current generation of Gibson management is that they've inherited an iconic brand and pissed it up against a wall (at least the bass side of things). In business terms, that's a very clumsy thing to do and as an ex-marketing guy I find it completely unfathomable. They've squandered a heritage that most companies could only dream of.

My trusty TE AH300SMC GP7. Bought it used - and in haste (untried) - for £300 from The Bass Centre to fill in while my AH500X (2 x 250W amps in one box) was having a noisy volume pot replaced. As soon as I hit that pre-shape button - that was it! The 300 became the 'keeper' and I sold the 500 when it came back from repair. 25 years on, it's still my main gig amp and hasn't let me down once.
