1.
Mikros are good but mine buzzes, don't know why. I need to sort it out and flog it.

alyctes. if you get it buzz free drop me a pm i may be interested
Fyi mine certainly didn't buzz.
2. NOW £325 DELIVERED UK MAINLAND This lovely example of The Jack is in exceptionally good condition. So nice that I couldn't resist buying it despite only playing short-scale basses. It just looks so cool, sounds so good and feels so 'right' to wear and play. Regrettably this (and/or other stuff) now has to go to fund an expensive s-s custom build. Price includes hard case (don't know if it's the original but it certainly looks correct) but not delivery. I'll post more pics later but at the mo P-bucket is playing up to the point where I'm losing the will to live!!
3.
Great amps - I had one for a while too. Very useful low end but it doesn't make pictures on the wall rattle.
Depends on how well hung they are
4. +1 for the Mikro - amazing quality for the price and absolutely not a toy. I got one as a travel bass and recently moved it on to a Basschatter for his son.
5.
Where are you based bud?
Taunton
6. Absolutely unmarked / as new - really nice, very compact combo used briefly for gigs with 'folky' singer/songwriter and no longer needed. Did a lot of research before choosing this, which gets great reviews, e.g from musicradar: OUR VERDICT As a first-time buy or as an amp for jam and practice sessions, this is a very worthy choice. + FOR Easy to transport. Louder than you'd expect. excellent low-end response. Good tones. - AGAINST Hard to fault. Power: 60W RMS Equipped with: 1 x 10 "+ 2" Tweeter EBS Custom Speaker Upright or monitor/tilt-back design 2-Band EQ: Bass & Treble Character switch Gain controls with Peak LED Volume control Enhance Filter switch Headphone output Ground Lift Balanced DI/recording output AUX input (RCA) with volume control Dimensions (H x W x D): 37.6 x 31 x 34.3 x cm Weight: 16 kg Price includes UK delivery.
7.
Cool, just not sure what you would use it for really. Coffee shop gigs or similar perhaps? From what I have read a drummer would render it a no-no.
House practice and gig spare backup for me.
8. Top marks for great pics - now that's what a PROPER road-worn patina looks like! GLWTS.
9. Black beauty!
10. Now £199 delivered - so ridiculous that I've just ordered one this morning Fyi they're showing 10+ in stock.
11. Re Photobucket, are you shortening each image link by deleting the extensions on the outside of the [IMG] brackets? My experience on this forum is that you can only post a single pic unless you do that. In any case, Photobucket have managed to render their service practically unusable IMHO - it keeps tripping over itself in its rush to show you adverts that you don't want to see !! Really nice bass btw
12. If you only want to run with a single cab, I'd make it a 4ohm one. Your £500 should get you a nice used one.
13. Hey Roo, just had a quick listen to the demos. There's a lot of scope for a good, creative bassist to bring something original, distinctive - maybe even surprising - to the party. A very nice drummer to play with too. If we still lived in Fowlmere, I'd be banging on your door to arrange a preliminary chat in the upstairs resto at Taylor's in Baldock! (This used to be the best chippie in the universe, is it still there?)
14. I've got the 4-string passive version, and it's truly sublime. As the many Mensinger / Maruszczyk owners on this forum will confirm, the quality of these basses takes some beating - at any price. This should be one of the lightest, most comfortable 5ers you'll find (mine weighs in at just over 3kg). Some lucky owner will be getting a fabulous bass that IMHO is also a work of art. If 5 strings were my thing, I'd be straight in there!
15. I'd say avoid any liquid/fluid that could soak into the bare wood or wick into cracks in the finish. My starting point would be a gentle wipe over with a soft cloth just barely dampened with white spirit immediately followed by a bit of 'heavy breathing'/buffing with a clean, dry cloth. Do an initial trial on a small area on the back of the body and see how it looks after a few hours first.
16. "I've been mostly attempting suicide with cheese." Ah, but what a way to go - went to a NYE party last night and gave the cheese board a real hammering!
17.
I would never do such a dishonest thing.
Me neither
18. I'm sure you'll be well pleased - I played the one at Jaywalk and loved it.
19.
What are you going for?
Classic look, light weight and versatile sound: chambered body in gloss Vintage White with tort plate; natural maple neck with Luminlay edge markers; rosewood fretboard with mop dots; 3+1 headstock with lightweight tuners; cast alu bridge/chrome hardware; white Haeussel P + J/J pups with 3-pos selector and mini single-coil switch into Delano 2-band. Can't wait!
20. Welcome back - is that the one they had in Jaywalk Guitars in Street?
21. I've been busy working on the spec of my new s-s Elwood
