Aguilar AG500 Dual channel £395 for quick sale **Sold**

Agreed. Alan and Peter at Synergy are top guys. It's worth asking them to see what kind of price to expect from a dealer before going down the import route.
-
Sadly true. I will ask him for any updates and report back if he manages to have any contact with them at all.

The guitarist in my band ordered a cover from them 4 weeks ago and has had no contact, replies to emails, nothing.

Most godawful tuning you've been asked to play in
jonno1981 replied to Nibody's topic in General Discussion
Standard tuning in my band is D#, A#. D#, G#. Basically drop D but up a semi tone. Sounds brilliant! Plenty more definition on the low stuff! We did experiment with some other tunings but this seems to work for us. -
'Wings, only the band the Beatles could have been.' Mr A Partridge.

The TV mix had a far better bass sound than any other band on the brits which made me a bit suspicious plus his hand movements just didn't seem to correspond to the fills I was hearing. Whoever played the part did a fantastic job but I'm not convinced the band were playing live.

I seriously thought he was miming all the way through the performance. Some great Jameson esque bass parts and tremendous bass tone! Maybe I need to listen again but it looked and sounded far too perfect for a live show.

Was this the one on gumtree? If yes then you beat me to it!! Hope it plays as great as it looks.

The bass gallery do commission sales at only 15% commission! Much more reasonable than the denmark street rates.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-xX7iWvzbo...player_embedded As someone who worked in music retail for 6 years I can really appreciate how difficult it can be to strike a balance between trusting customers enough to hand them high end guitars and protecting your stock from the (unfortunately) many people who will not treat them with any respect. This is especially difficult with commission sales when the seller wants the guitar to be spotless if it is collected as it hasn't sold. Music shops can be real nutter magnets and you never know if who you are talking to is a genuine customer with cash to hand or a time wasting mental health patient on a day off the ward! I have had great service from the gallery before and really look forward to a visit every couple of years when I get the itch (and the funds) to buy something new.

Just a wee update with a new video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n9_GE4l_TNk No luck so far in tracking this guy down. If anyone knows the thief send Jay an email The crime reference number is: ec/3861323/11 - if you wish to inform the police anonymously. -
DR Strings - Problems and no response from them in over 2 months.

Did you contact the UK distributor or DR directly?? The UK guys at firstline are pretty decent folks. Not getting back to you twice is very bad form and very bad customer service. -
Ashdown amps nicked in Reading CCTV footage of thief
jonno1981 replied to jonno1981's topic in Amps and Cabs
The guy smashed the key safe off the wall outside. It's most likely someone who has used the studio and very recently. There is more cctv to come with a direct feed off the camera and potentially from the carpark. Will update the thread with more info when it appears. -
This is a re-post from a friend of mine who had a break in at his rehearsal studios last night. Watch out for any secondhand Mag300 heads going cheap around berkshire......If anyone recognises the guy please send Jay a message.
Dear all, At approximately 0.30am on 3rd July, The Rhoom Studios was broken into and some equipment and cash was stolen. The keysafe was smashed off of unit 17 and the ASHDOWN MAG300 bass amp and mics were taken from Studio 1. Then Unit 26 was broken into and as you'll see from the video below, the scum broke into the control room and stole the cash. This also happened last week too - an ASHDOWN MAG300 bass amp and 2 SM58 mics were taken along with all of the cash. If anyone see's a couple of these surface in the Reading area, please let me know. One has a fake-leather finish, the other had that black fur finish. I'm offering 2 months of free rehearsals to anyone who can name and shame the person in this video. The police are already involved but this could speed the process up somewhat. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n9_GE4l_TNk If you have any information, please contact or call 07730 685295. Any information at all will be useful. In the mean time, the online calendars have been disabled and the payment method will be changed again. If you rehearse at the Rhoom, please can you arrange to pay via bank transfer for your session, unless I come and collect the money in person. Please do not leave money on site until further notice. Kind regards Jamie Postones
Played 3rd on of 4 bands at 'Poison Bar' in Basingstoke last night. To be honest we were a little intimidated at the start of the evening but it ended up being great fun. I felt a bit sorry for the headline band as they had to wait until the boxing finished before playing. We managed to somehow time the ending of our last song to stop exactly 5 seconds before the first round started.
