1. Cool - not sure if it's maple or rw - coming Saturday
2. I had no trouble at all adjusting. Go for it
3. I got this condition and went to see my gp. We are fortunate to have a specialist hand clinic in our area (pulvertaft centre at the derby royal) and they gave me intra wrist injections which made things much better. They wear off eventually so they then did an operation on my wrist to loosen the ligament and the difference is amazing
4. Apparently mint, yes. Private sale. They're going for £439 at gak. I've not seen it yet as its a part ex On Friday for something I have that the seller really, really wants. Im paying less than 75% so thanks both of you for the guidance. I might be shifting it on (was trying to down size) if anyone is interested?
5. I find them (jazzes) more comfortable by far as my fingers are too long either
6. Doh. You can't collect from the pass of caradhras ? Where's your spirit of adventure?
7. I have an immaculate US made C & G Fender badged hard case to sell. It seems to fit precision basses quite nicely but my Jazz doesnt fit, which is a bit of a downer. Its perfect, as far as I can tell, and comes with locks and a hidden compartment with a plush interior. You're welcome to come by and look. Obviously you can collect for free - I'll do postage at cost but I'd rather someone collected, or we met somewhere, than trust a courier. I live near j28 of the m1 just north of Nottingham pics : These are listed at Gak http://www.gak.co.uk...bass-case/34498 for £149 new (admittedly a tweed version), so I think this is worth about £85 plus postage at cost/collect. Anyone interested? You can always make a reasonable offer by PM, please feel free to inform me if I'm way off beam with pricing.
8. Could some kind soul guide me on what I should pay for a mint condition 2011 model ? Is it a liked colour generally ? Thanks

11. for sale, totally unused - set of chrome pickup covers to fit a precision. Sadly I only have one set of screws, whcih are still taped to the bridge cover. I'd like £20 plus postage at cost, but feel free to make me a reasonable offer UPDATE £10 for the front cover, no screws, sorry. .

13.
If this is a sale you must provide a sale price - forum rules.
Yes I know that is true for a sale but there are other feeler posts on here that do not state one. Edit: the post I saw has been edited so I will conform. If I was to sell this I'd be looking for around £400 collected / meet . Someone pls inform me if this is wildly off-beam ?
14. I'll get some pics then, but I honestly have no idea about price. Just wanted to gauge interest.
15. dont know - its just a feeler to guage interest.
16. I'm selling my japan 62 reissue jazz. It's a 93/94 Has been played by PantherAirsoft, Simon1964, flateric amongst others who all said nice things about it. Niceguyhomer tried it recently so may be able to give you an objective view Its got all its original parts except the tuners which a previous owner upgraded for reverse open backs which would have been fitted on a real 62. Has the copper strip for earthing, the copper plates under the pickups, the neck has aged nicely to a deep honey colour. It has all its stickers for serial number, "made in japan" etc I've extensively copper shielded it. Its very quiet in terms of noise but sounds like a jazz bass should It weighs 4.5kg which is 9.9lbs Changes:

The tuners as stated above, by a previous owner
I will also include the quality fender gig bag it came with Quite the bargain for the price I'm asking pictures here: http://i1149.photobu...zps5be7938a.jpg http://i1149.photobu...zps2d450fee.jpg http://i1149.photobu...zps18cc9595.jpg http://i1149.photobu...zpsd28532ee.jpg http://i1149.photobu...zps5e39ae1c.jpg http://i1149.photobu...zps4f54e6d4.jpg http://i1149.photobu...zpsa6ea9262.jpg NO TRADES PLEASE (unless you're local and have a nice sunburst highway one p bass with (preferably) maple neck, or ditto jap "70s" p bass ) Cosmetic issues: its an old bass. Someone before me dropped it on its lower rear edge and then painted over it. Its not noticeable more than 3ft away (see pictures). I showed this to niceguyhomer who said it was nothing to be concerned about Apart from that, I cant think of anything wrong given its age. Very minor dinks here and there as you'd expect on a 20 plus year old instrument. I'd much prefer to meet/arange collection/deliver locally rather than trust a courier. I'm in the east midlands near J28 M1. If shipped its about £20 or so by 24 hour signed-for courier, fully insured, which I will do at cost. It will be shipped with the neck taken off (and packaged separately) in a big box as I dont have a hard case. Neck is arrow straight and has new strings 40 - 100 - it came set up for these and I've never altered it - there was no need. I've checked the neck relief and its a textbook (see fender website) 0.30mm at the eighth fret (with first and last frets held), and there is clearly travel left in the truss rod. The action is down to a textbook 2.8mm on low E and 2.4mm on high G (measured at the 17th). Action at the 12th is around 2mm according to my ruler
17.
That is lovely. I have a Jap 62 Jazz bass. Ordered from Japan, arrived in 3 days!! The necks are easily better than the American models. A real cracker you have there.
I have the same one from 1993 - its simply brilliant.

19.
>how about looking at second hand instruments and giving three or so staff members a set budget to find the best instrument they can within certain criteria and then have a mini group test?
1. Like on top gear - good idea. 2. Can we have something like beginners corner ? We're not all Dave Marks. 3. more < £500 kit please - 4. I did enjoy reading Stu Hamms columns though. 5. When you do an offer to new readers - please give some thought to offering to to lapsed subscribers? - its what made me cancel my sub last time. 6. Any news on EPlatforms such as the iphone ? thanks apols for the brevity - am at work
20. I once saw Girlsschool play - they had a /very/ petite redhead lady playing a precision that looked huge on her. She coped fine.
