13. I think my answer is mainly because I had a CIJ 75 reissue with an unusual rosewood + white MOP board. I regret selling it
14. I really like the pepperoni pickguard
15. Top one actually
16.
I think it's because it's a more natural shape for your hand to follow. I may well be wrong. But having never played one I can't give you first hand experience of this. Seriously would love a go on one though.
I agree - you start "curling" your hand straight away and it feels fine
17. I bought this bass from Leigh Gordon of morcheeba. Its in good playing shape but has some mojo from many years of use, I have got its neck back to fender spec and it's good to play. It has naturally rolled fingerboard edges from use and a lovely growly tone. There are chips and dings in the places where basses get damaged, have tried to show this. The back of the neck is smooth with one wear spot around fret 14 The marks on the top horn in picture 5 and lower horn in picture 4 are reflections rather than wear. Mexico 1992 I would like to keep it but I'm just not getting time to play it (New job with more travelling and a junior geek due soon). I might be selling a 12 string acoustic too for the same reasons. Located near Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. Can also be collected in central Nottingham http://s1149.photobu...heeba%20jazz%20 £245 firm, no trades please
18. Thinking about doing one of these myself with a singer / songwriter that I know. Think I will take my precision and my acoustic bass and cover both bases
19. Fanned frets took five minutes to get used to No biggie

21.
Cheers for the extra photo with the weight Phil. Yeah I am having second thoughts about selling it now!
Keep it if you can - I wish I had. Partner was happy for me to keep it
22. I had one of these and regret letting it go
23.
Ah yes, I was going purely on new items, if considering used the Classic 50s is a fantastic bass. Used CIJ/MIJs are also worth a look, they have some of the nicest playing necks around for Fenders.
Yes agree - played one and it was very nice indeed. Pmt knock them out around £500, I would buy one new and I don't say that often
