9. Mine started herself off young -there are pics of her playing my jazz bass at 18 months old, and my prosebass 5 at 2 She has a ukelele and is absolutely entranced by 12 strings but thats as close as she's going to get to the Dark Side.
10. thanks Andy - hiope youre enjoying your new US bass that I sold you (amongst the herd)
11. I dont want to get into the 60s/70s argument - they were undoubtedly dogs and diamonds in both decades. Its how it plays that matters. My £0.02 is that its your bass, if you want to mod it, then do so, but be sure and accept that others taste may not be yours, and that you may damage or destroy its value to many people if you do something cosmetically irreversible. If you would not ever let it go to other hands then its up to you what you do. Enough were made in factories that changing yours would make no real difference. If you might need the money one day, however reluctantly made the sale would be, then buy a cheap MIM clone of your bass and do the mods to that is my humble advice.
12. I would send the gig bag back, or ask for a courier swapover. Best quality or not, you paid for a gig bag thats free from defects and thats exactly what you should get. They can claim off the courier/Fender anyway. If the saddle screw is there, and you can put the bridge back together easily and the intonation is ok afterwards, I wouldnt bother.
13.
As the owner of a modded '72 P, I'll be watching this thread with interest...
That's very nice indeed and I'm not a relic fan

16. I know a singer soungwriter who regularly comes up with original material as well as interpreting existing songs. I've never tried, or thought I'd be able to do it. I was surprised as anything when an almost fully formed set of lyrics and hooks popped into my head whilst I was washing up. Damned if I can remember more than the skeleton of it though.
