1.
Isn't the context that that band had just played a crap set. And that shouldn't happen at that level. Blue
I do thInk there is a cultural difference here, spent a lot of time in US and I do think we could use /a bit/ of the "so try harder" mentality /sometimes/ - doesn't make getting medieval on someone ok though and profanity unneeded
2.
Oh good call Here's a nice pic of a relic P bass and a Fodera
You'd think a fodera would include mudguards at the price they charge
3.
Another case of black and white extremes! Basses are neither babies nor tools. They are instruments (hence, that being what they are called). They won't die and you won't go to prison if they get knocked about, but they will stop doing their job so well if knocked out of 'calibration'. You can't trust them to handle being chucked about like you might a hammer or screwdriver, which incidentally will also last longer and work better if not battered in the course of duty. Generally speaking, look after them- don't marry them. Or just f*** them up if you like. They are yours, at the end of the day.
Yep - I'm fairly rough with it but it's looked after at a technical level - it's reliced - why not help it along
4.
There is something special about her at the beginning of the Tom Tom Club https://youtu.be/XIW4skg3Ceo
The special thing is that she is hot? And can play too
5. coming back this weekend. A fresh start to the relicing debate - woohoo! ** ** heavy irony here, if you're thinking of being negative, please just dont bother.
6. Why on earth is this still unsold? I would snap your hand off Have a free bump
7. I had one in trans grey - totally awesome
8.
Likewise. Way to come in being super rude.
Me also, rude, stroppy, and impatient were words that crossed my mind reading this thread
9. Why not run some string thru a piece of sponge and stuff it under your bridge cover ?
10. Bet they could - my prosebass looked like it had been machine gunned by the time it left their tender care
11.
Got a pic?
Only once I have patented it
12. I designed one that fits a bridge cover
13.
What does Gas mean?
Gear acquisition syndrome The idea that your playing will improve beyond all recognition if you dispose of a perfectly acceptable bass and buy a different one
14. There are several threads answering exactly this question - you should be able to find them using the search function
15. I had one - US feel for less money, I didn't care about the case and the graphite rods
16. I think both 51-57 and actual telecaster bass look cool beyond words so I'd love to try either

18. Maybe I'm missing something here but it seems a storm in a teacup ? Driven perhaps by an unintentional pun on "come"...
19.
I am on the train home and just thinking how much I enjoy playing bass. I do not have quick fingers, my tone and volume are questionable but I just love picking up a bass and noodling. I have yet to gig and will not be the next Trujillo, Sting or Pastorious but, I do not care. So for those of you who think that only gigging players are real or that you have to be able to slap or play a certain number of strings, go boil your heads. I am happy playing bass and making music. That is all.
Yes, with you, the odd OM night is nice but even looking at my basses makes me happy
20. I'm not sure I'd pay all that, I go with an earlier poster who suggests you could get a luthier to do an amazing job with fender or mighty mite parts for a lot less
21. Sounds like long term trouble whatever happens, I'd walk
