  1. That looks lovely mate. And a good price. I’m close to you and I’d love it but my stable is overfull at the moment so have a free bumpy!
  2. it does seem a bit pricey. Doesn’t the B after the neck date stamp indicate a Jazz width neck? I’ve got a 74 and a 76 both with Jazz width necks. What was the deal with these narrower necks? When did they start making P’s with a narrower neck? Are there whole batches of them or was it an option when you ordered it?
  3. Ive fitted Luminlays to two of my basses. They’re very good. To be honest just the fact that they’re a little bigger than the ones they replaced and that they’re a nice bright colour is as important as the glow in the darl bit. I wouldn’t try to install myself unless you were quite confident in what you’re doing. The hardest bit is drilling the holes in exactly the right place. Using a Brad Point drill bit really helps with lining up. I made a couple of mistakes on my first one resulting in a couple of bits of the old markers still visible, but made a much better job with the second one. Good luck!
  4. I’m on my way to pick this up!
  5. Last I heard they’d stopped touring due to health issues. I’ve seen them a few times and they never fail to impress. Norman is just awesome! Great to see they’re back on the road!
  6. Selling this lovely five string. It's never been out of the house and is literally in showroom condition, not a mark. The stunning red sparkle finish is really deep and lovely. Still got the cellophane on the back plate. Prefer pick up from Milton Keynes but i have packing if you would like to arrange your own courier. Could possibly meet up at a railway station between Euston and Wolves/Crewe. Specs here: Scale Length: 34'' (863.6mm) Neck: Maple and Mahogany 5pc Fingerboard: Rosewood Radius: 23-5/8'' (600mm) Nut Width: 43mm Body: Solid Mahogany Tuners: Die-cast Bridge: Die-cast 18mm Pickups: MHB3n (Ceramic),MHB3b (Ceramic) Controls: Master Volume, Pickup Balancer, Bass, Treble and Performance EQ switch Hardware: Color Black Nickel
  7. Hiya - I love a nice Jazz Bass! What’s the weight of this one please? Also any idea of the fingerboard radius?
  8. Another question, does the B2 have a global eq and volume like the B1four?
  9. Second this re the paddle switches on the B1 series. On my B1Xon I glued a couple of amplifier feet to the top of the pedals
  10. Just to clarify, my issues are about the reach to the first fret, not neck dive. Mine’s quite light too. Interesting comments about strap length @Sparky Mark- maybe I should revisit!
  11. Exactly this. I bought a beautiful 1990 neck through some years back. The build quality, looks and tone are absolutely to die for but as soon as I stand up, it goes back in the case. Just waiting for the values to rocket now before I sell it on!
  12. This is bad news indeed fella. I can’t imagine this forum without your current experience and insight.
  13. Interested in this. Are your comments down to personal experience with the Ibanez strings@Baloney Balderdash?
  14. I bought a couple of sets of the value strings recently and got to say I’m pretty stunned at how decent they are especially at the price.
  15. Having recently picked up a second Big Baby Oi and realising that two was just being greedy I replied to Alan’s ‘wanted’ add and sold him my original BBii. This involved a bit of a wait and a road trip for Alan. Comms were really good and the deal was done without fuss. Deal with confidence!
  16. Stealthy! ThNks for the comments, given your experience I’ll probably not upgrade!
  17. Ive got one of the expression pedals. Zoom do a G2fourX so I dont see why we should be left out!!
  18. Hoping for a B2fourX
  19. This thread has inspired me to get mine out for a while!
  20. That’s really pretty. Might be an idea to mention in your ad that it’s Bubinga as I think these command a premium above the ash models. I’ve got one and it’s a killer bass!
