Texted you mate
-
Totally agree
-
Me neither mate. It’s odd how they all seem to do it though. And like I said it only makes a noise if you turn it with a signal going through.
-
Actually my comment about the front end related to the M not the T. I’ve got both and I prefer the M but the T is still a great amp, mellower then the M. My comments re the volume knob stand for both heads

They’re great. Only problem is the volume pot will become scratchy but it’ll only make a noise if you turn it while sound is coming through it. I’ve used one extensively touring with Stray. Front end mimics an SVT which is nice because we often get an SVT when backline is supplied. Only problem I’ve had was when the gain knob took a bash in transit and pushed the back of the pot off. Managed to fix this myself. I don’t use the compressor so can’t comment on that. It’s never left me wanting for volume.

It’s gone!

I still reckon the Bugera would’ve been worth a punt - albeit they weren’t in stock until summer. I had omelette for lunch yesterday!
-
I’ve got the Bugera head. This looks like a bloody good combo for the money, the heads are great. They missed a trick by not having a speaker out connection though.

I’m out, just bought a pack of pedal toppers for the Stomp. Not too extravagant though!!

Show us your rig of choice for the weekend ** Basschat edition**
King Tut replied to bassace97's topic in Amps and Cabs
This was Friday at The Craufurd. Top to bottom: LD headphone transmitter, Bugera Veyron MOSFET (spare), GK MB500 main amp and Supertwin. Had the same rig the following night at The Cart and Horses but used their in house Blackstar 4x10. I used my Ric 4003 on Friday and my Fender pro Jazz on Saturday with a Lekato wireless into an HX Stomp XL. -
That sounds pretty cool - I'm well into the process of learning my Stomp XL after swapping over from Zoom so I don't see myself investing time into another system at the moment - I will check the vids out though - thanks!
-
I may have sounded a bit glib here, apologies if I did. I never realised IR’s were just about cab sims, I thought you could maybe sample an effect and recreate it on another unit - what a donut!!🍩 Anyway, really appreciate all the responses and probably will download some and have a play!
-
Well - as I don’t use cab sims live I very much doubt I’ll be messing with IR’s but thanks for the pointers peeps!

This weekend I’m out with Stray. On Friday it’s a home fixture at The Craufurd Arms in Wolverton MK, then on Saturday we’re at The Iron Maiden pub - The Cart and Horses in London. Come say hi!
-
Could some of you kind people explain IR’s to me please? For context, I’m in the process of transitioning from Zoom to Line 6 and I’m finding my way around a Stomp XL. So, what are they, how do you use them, where do you get them, can you tweak them and are they worth bothering with? Thanks in advance!

I spotted this on FB recently. It all looked pukka but I reckon if something looks too good to be true then it probably is!

Travelling to Denmark and Sweden with a Bass

Thanks mate, I understand the festival organisers are picking us up from the airport so I’m sure they’ll have that in hand! -
We’ve got a festival in Sweden in July. We’ll be flying in to Denmark then driving across the bridge to the gig in Sweden. I understand the regs on Carnets were relaxed a couple of years ago - what’s the score these days and is there anything peculiar to Denmark and Sweden? Thanks in advance.

Thought this post was about alcohol recovery for a moment 🙀 -
I played my first ever gig in Milton Keynes City Centre. A lady approached our bandleader and asked if she could manage us. He agreed and a couple weeks later we were all off to Camden for an audition for Sky Star Search. We to a slot and next thing we were on telly, show hosted by Keith Chegwin with Barbara Windsor and Simon Potter (Who?) as the judges. The spinal tap moment was getting voted runners up being beaten by a sax playing comedian in a wheelchair! It all went downhill from there!!
