Ive heard about this before, but on a Bongo bass, caused by Planet Waves instrument cables into the jack socket. Try another brand if you can. In fact, goto our very own OBBM. Very high quality, great prices, great service.

Believe me Pete, its not the first Lakkie ive seen like this. If they upp'd their game, Id own one!

I personally think the Lakland prices are too high anyway, and workmanship like that is pretty crazy. Ive yet to see one where the pups line up. Small problem, but it should be right on £1000+.

I know...and £299 for each cab.

Anyone tried the matching cabinets? Love the look of the 1x15.

Its all down to whether you are happy with buying blind from either second hand or brand new. Brand new, you have a warranty and returns policy. Ive seen too many basses second hand that COULD be perfect, then there is a mod, or something quite not right which I could avoid if buying new. £1000 for a new Fender is a lot, but then again £1199 for an imported Lakland made in the Cort factory is also very expensive. Prices are crazy at the moment. Totally agree MIJ Fenders are great, but IMO, even the one I owned was no 'good MIA'...for me the MIJ pickups were not full enough, still good, but thats why the MIJ was almost half the price of the MIA when I bought it. MIJs have gone up due to supply and demand, but the basic MIJ models for me are always great, but not MIA standard. It all depends what you are after. I have played some AWFUL Fenders, MIA, MIM, and MIJ. Its always down to finding one you like.

Sorry but if Squier can get it right, a £2000+ Lakland should be amazing. It's poor attention to detail which even my £120 SR P Bass got right lol. No offence of course, it's a nice looking bass, as are most Laklands. I just don't trust their quality now.

I think it's great how much gear they have, but it's very expensive which is why I tend not to buy from them.

That G is way too far into the board. 100%.

Looking at the prices on this kit, it seems insane that it is so highly regarded and compared to Markbass and such and is a full combo for less than the price of a LM3! It's also got everything you'd need like a kickstand, aux, mute, tweeter should you want it, etc. I was looking at getting a small high end 1x12 but most of them are approaching £600 for a neo...

That is excellent! If I get a Promethean, would you recommend this over their bag?

Nearly all Lakland basses I've seen have very poor pickup/neck alignment. The latest ones are even worse.

Wow, the rosewood board 63....thats the one! Ive noticed a lot of P Bass love recently.

Hence I never tinker with basses.

I have no direct experience, but my money would be on the Ibanez. I do hear great things about the combo, and the cab looks TINY!

It seemed like a weird atmosphere, and I think it was the weather if im honest. Even some of the bands seemed like they werent that interested...eg Kings of Leon. Some utter tosh as well.

Trust me. Once you get a Ray or Sterling 5 you like, it will be great! I've had a few problems and just had some re ordered and they are great!
