1. Isnt it essentially very similar to the Genz Neo x212t?
2.
Hi there, last Tuesday I collected my RH450 and had a go with my Status basses at home. I do not know what my neighbours think...BUT I must say that this little beast sounds great! I have the impression that my basses sound more natural than through my (now ex-)Markbass TA501 which is a great amp, but seems now a bit harsh compared to the RH450. The TC is maybe not so loud and you have to crank the highs a bit to get that nice high end zing, but has a more organic sound, at least to my ears. This may be also due to the 2 small EBS Neo cabs (110 & 112) I use with the head and this could change using different cabs, but I am extremely happy so far. The footswitch is another great addition too. Will update my review once I gigged it! Any suggestions regarding the ideal cabs for the RH450? need something very light and portable, I am looking at the TC RS112, has anyone tested these yet? Cheers, Stefano
I would suggest the RS210 for a compromise of good tone/'fairly' compact/lightweight for ceramic/pretty loud
3. I notice these basses are a good P/J compromise, plus the White/sunburst looks great! Has anyone tried these new production models? How well built are they? Price seems fair...
4.
1997 Cat, 1987 Yamaha BB5000, 1977 Fender P, 1984 Ric 4003.
...and that's why I love White!
5. Wow, that's a great price. If I currently had a car I'd be after this.
6. I think the compressor is fantastic for an onboard feature, but I'm a simple creature when it comes to these things. For me, it sounds great. Keep tweaking!
7. Ive just been pricing up some 112s, and I was looking for basically 1 quality 1x12 for my quiet gigs. The price of neo 1x12s is around £500-£600 now, and for that price I can buy an Ibanez Promethean 1x10 COMBO...as in the amp as well! Yes, its only a 10 in a small box, but I dont want masses of power.
8. The Schroes are definitely a good 1 cab small/loud solution. If I had the chance to gig one, id probably buy one, but now they arent available through the dealer in the UK.
9. Back for sale.
10. I hear really good things about the Ibanez P amps...kinda wish I could try one locally.
11. As if! I hope you get it sorted. Appalling service for such expensive instruments.
12.
That is gorgeous - I'm really starting to GAS for one of these (or a Stingray 5) and it would have to be exactly that colour choice, and pickup config. I think one of these could actually cure me of my long-clinged-to 35-inch 5 strings addiction... There's just such a cool aesthetic about Stingrays and Sterlings with that contouring etc - and they always seem so nicely put together and finished.
This is definitely a lovely example of top quality craftsmanship...very well made and the paint job is superb. The B is VERY tight and punchy, just how I wanted it. Cheers!
13. I've definitely noticed Aguilar taking over as a 'rock' brand in the USA...they seem to take a lot of ex Ampeg artists. Aguilar gear is exceptionally well made, and looks great. Definitely great for all styles!
14.
isnt the Little Bastard an ALL valve unlike the orange?
I believe so... I doubt it would be an all valve 550W amp.
15. Small picture added!
16. Must be Class D, eg like the Bass Terror.
17. Has anyone directly A/Bed one of these with a MIA P Bass? I just tried another MIA P, and to be honest, it sounded and felt great, but I still prefer my MIA 3TS/Rosewood that Ive had for over a year now. Im finding it hard to get anywhere close to as good, so im thinking of just spending a lot less on a CV P.
18. I've tried it, no bass sounds like a Ray, they have their own character. If you want the Ray tone, don't compromise, save for the Ray
19.
I think it's within easy striking distance of London, circa 30 mins I think
Obviously better for business, but bad news for northerners All 4 bass specialists are fairly southern, so once I move back to Newcastle I've got no chance! Support the north plx
20. Is Bass Gear moving to London? Im sure I read that in the email?!
21. This guy demonstrates the front H in this track: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sv3hmab_lEo...feature=related If you click on him he does a good Master of Puppets cover as well but with the two outer coils. NICE!
22. EBMM Stingray 4 HH
23. I just like amps with mutes. My Orange has zero bells and whistles but it sounds awesome. Everything else i expect lots of extra functions.
24. That was my problem. Ive no idea if they have addressed the weight, but the JO5s/DJ5s I tried were very very heavy. Saying that, they are a large bodied bass, so I guess some will be that.
