2.
Have PM'd you...
Replied
3. 48 hour + BUMP with a price reduction and taking offers.
4.
Arrrgh, if this had a jazz nut width I'd be sorely tempted.
Unfortunately 41mm with an 18mm spacing over the bridge pup.
Paul have you moved from lancs?
Hello, and yes I have 14 months ago, currently residing in sunny Nailsea and soon off to even sunnier Burnham on Sea

6. Very early Mayones BE4 with Original Warwick Hardware I purchased this bass from a fellow BC'er in 2014 requiring repair. The full repair is here http://basschat.co.u...__fromsearch__1 so please ensure you are happy with this. Repair is stable after 2 years+. Quality bass and a bargain way to owning a Mayones. I am having a 'clear out' having acquired a few basses over the past few years and this bass needs using. Lovely woods with a sculptured rear body for comfort. Active 2 band EQ, Vol - Pan - Bass / Treble. Does the Jazz thing and sounds excellent for slap / funk. 41mm nut with 18mm spacing over the bridge pup. Condition is as in the photos. A few marks but no buckle rash or missing bits. Comes with an excellent Thomann ABS case. Would prefer pickup from Nailsea (6 miles from Bristol BS48) but will ship if necessary for £20.00 UK only. For more info please message me or give me a call 07711 393897 Cheers Paul.... 7. 90 views! I thought this was a bass forum..... Challenging, as ever Kev The Longest Melford? Much smoother, great tone. Quite Rain Tree Crow.
8. Just play Weather Report stuff. I have never heard a track played the same either live or studio. Joe Zawinul purposefully just had structure to the tunes so every performance was a little bit different.
9.
Is Prosebass still on Basschat? IIRC he made full size small bodied headless basses.
I certainly am, and certainly did, but stopped building in 2012. This (30" scale) was up for sale recently and may still be available http://basschat.co.u..._1#entry2882417
10. That is horrendous, what can one say
11. Bought a Curbow (shipped) from Gary. No problems and a simple straightforward transaction.
12. Richard Drummie played most stuff on the albums and appears playing bass in the videos. Certain songs like Call Me used Pino (quite obvious and distinctive) so let you ears guide you.
13. When it comes to U2, Mr Clayton is not the problem.
14. A nice snug piece of matchstick in the split on the pot shaft.
15. Jazz fretless is collecting dust as I prefer my fretless Cort Curbow 4 The Mayones BE4 is going up for sale to be replaced with a fretted Cort Curbow 4.... Love the Curbows
16. Just be thankful that Polly Borland didn't get her mits on it! What a crock of you know what.
17. Nice to know my Harley Benton fretless jazz is in good company....
18.
From Langley Park to Memphis by Prefab Sprout.. its a great album
Huge Prefab fan but much preferred Swoon and Steve McQueen
19. Bought Marc's Carvin MB10 (Crackin little combo) Great chap to deal with and we had a reet good natter over a brew.
20. One of these [sharedmedia=core:attachments:154795] With one of these
21. Pure child abuse.... any reference to country music (and associated instruments) is harmful and totally unnecessary....
22.
I have one of these, bought in 1981 from Barratt's in Manchester and still going strong.
I bought mine in 1982 at Barrett's in Manchester (Oxford Road) also. Best neck I have ever played. Had to sell it a few years ago to make ends meet, which kept me fed for a few weeks but was regrettable. Looking for another one to purchase

Bristol Bash
I'd come along to a Bristol bash.
And I certainly would if something could be arranged. Had some fun at bashes in the past and met some great basschatters...
