  1. I have struggled...but then I saw my Stingray Special
  2. I’ve recently picked up one of these, brilliant basses.
  3. This one, twice in a month - 7 piece functions band, lots of gear/lights, 133 steps and no lift, in the hurricane wind and rain. Oh, and the occasional landslide.....I took a brief hiatus after that month. I give you - ‘Lusty Glaze’ - Cornwall....looks can be deceiving 😱
  4. Nice colour! I’ve been watching your thread with interest as I have a passive 87’ Fender Jazz Special (The one that G N R Duff uses). They’re superbly made basses and like you say they really do play brilliant 😊
  5. Packing up the amps and thought it funny that despite the Elf being the smaller Amp, it has the bigger box
  6. Thanks, yeah it sounded really nice with both the amps pictured. I have a Markbass 802 for my small gig needs now and am sticking with that having regretted selling my first 802 sometime back, although the above combinations are certainly lighter.
  7. PM’s replies Elf on hold 😊
  8. Surplus to requirements SolD: Eden EX10, well used few scuffs etc, speaker changed as whizzy died (although I still have this) - new speaker changed recently and is a lovely Celestion BN10-300X 4ohm NEO Bass. Quite lighter than previous speaker £80 + courier costs. Plenty of specs, reviews and videos online.
  9. This is one of the more government conscious forms of therapy we’re currently be encouraged to deliver in my line of work; maybe applicable to your situation or on going therapy:
  10. The new Stingray Specials are the holy grail IMO. Lots of versatility with the new pickup system, light, perfectly balanced and play beautifully. Only downside is they’re so expensive.
  11. Offers for this scrumptious delight? It really is a great vintage P bass. Original electrics included. Trades welcome, can add a little cash for an amp.
  12. May trade for Amp circa £350 (can add cash top up)
  13. Yes me too..especially BSSM.
  14. Josh was great, but John is the messiah...great news
  15. I’m sure the buyer of this one will feel very much the same 😊
  16. Nobody want the the best amp available to mankind? Could potentially take another amp in part trade, and at least £200 my way now....so yours worth around £350.
  17. May entertain trades now.
  18. Top quality acoustic basses these. GLWTS
  19. You could well be right. It does have Taiwan stamped in the headstock and the serial starts with a 91 - 1991 perhaps? The guy I bought it off claimed it to be an 80’s but my knowledge on Yamaha BB’s is very little.
  20. Cheers chaps
  21. One in/ one out policy now truly in enforced place by Mrs Raslee and as I have another incoming P so this one can go to make some much needed space. So here we have a funky strawberry red Late 80’s/1990's Yamaha BB200. When I got it, it had been neglected - poor set up, strings on wrong and dodgy electrics - yet structurally the bass still felt very good indeed. I decided to treat this bass and upgraded with a Tone Rider pick up with whipped creamy covers, Kiogon wiring loom and a Gotoh bridge. The body and neck really are great condition for its year, and now it sounds and looks fantastic with the upgrades. A lot of (vintage) BB P bass for £200 (or offer) and it plays really sweet too; I won’t be too concerned if it doesn’t sell too quickly TBH but it is sitting here begging to be taken out. Original Yamaha pickups also included. Collect from Plymouth or will post in the UK for £20 - extra if abroad.

  23. The third picture up from here looks like nicks but is actually just the amp screws and my shite photography skills. Also now £500 plus P&P or potential trade for P bass (Nate Mendal MIA, Sandberg - WHY) May also trade this and my amazing and very light Atelier Z jazz towards a decent P (£1500 area).
