  2. Possibly, do you want to PM me some pictures? Thanks.
  3. SOLD Got this great Precision a couple of months back off here from Slappindabass. It reminded me a lot of a late 70's Fender P that i owned except a lot lighter, believe the hype on the vintage Tokais - they're great basses!!!!. About the same time I was also building a bitsa P which is now complete and about 90% Fender part and my favourite colored bass -blue! I have also decided I only need one P bass, for the odd dep gig, and it has been a very hard choice which to keep. My conclusion after changing my mind many, many times was I'd lose too much to sell the bista so have decided to keep that one but they both have their merits and both play equally great. So the Tokai, I have since upgraded the electronics, not that the previous were bad in any way, but I had a EMG Geezer Bulter which clearly needed using as it's simply the dogs dangly doo dahs. I also got a decent wiring kit - Russian capacitor, mother of pearl knobs and a 60's style tort - no expense spared and it really sings with that EMG. It already had a Schaller type bridge fitted. Strung with rounds but flats included. The original parts (bridge, black Pickguard, pickups and electronics) will also be added to the sale. Original sale post here, it's a little bit heavier too than stated in this add - more towards 9lbs: Based in Plymouth - £600 + Postage (courier), or I'm potentially open to trades plus cash differences, 4 strings only but could really do with a small head & speaker for a ukelele group i.e Elf, Eden or similar, small cab i.e 1x10", TC 2x8 combo or similar perhaps. Could do with a decent bridge i.e. Badass style 4 string or similar, Open to most 4 strings basses too, even lower worth plus cash my way but I am ok for a P, Jazz and Stingray so do not need those style basses (Unless a Nate Mendal P, Fender jazz Special (Duff) or Limelight P - could add cash towards one of these). Open to most ideas but keen to try G&L's, Thunderbirds, Ibanez, 51 style P's, - but as i say try me on whatever - I can only say yay or nay Pics of how it is at present,....doesn't she look lovely!!!: SOLD
  4. Awesome bass, Excellent seller and Fantastic price...best bass on here 😊
  5. Trades?
  6. I was recently in this same situation, seeking a more vintage P pickup and wanting more of a warmer traditional tone. After much discussion on Farcebook I opted for the cheapest suggestion, a £35 Tonerider off Amazon. I was pleasantly surprised, good definition and that vintage tone I was after, great in a band mix with the mids cutting through - definitely worth a punt IMO. I’ve had Aguilar, Lindy Fralin with my favourite being Lollar in the past and currently have a EMG Geezer in my other P but for the tone and price I’d have the Tonerider every time (paired with a Kiogon wiring loom). If you want to splash the cash though Lollar gets my vote from past experience...but it’s all subjective. 😊
  7. I’m liking this a lot 😊
  8. You’re gonna love his funky fusion jamming then 😊. I find B’itchesBrew a bit intense but Agharta is a personal favourite.
  9. Have you checked out Miles Davis’s fusion like Agharta or On the Corner, Live evil. Gongs Shamal album. Also check the Inside from way out - Beastie Boys (instrumental stuff). Some good Headhunters stuff too, Thrust should lube your funk gland 😎
  10. I went through a lot of cabs when gigging a lot of reggae. The ones that I really like was a Markbass Jeff Berlin combo 15” paired with MB extension cab, this had nice definition and was light. Also the Ampeg SVT410HLF x 2 was monstrous..and heavy but better sounding to my ears than the 8x10 fridge. The Barefaced Dubster V1 was great too, especially for low UK roots style dub. I’m now using an old Hartke 2x15” when I get together with the reggae boys, sounds sweet and tight at the low end...and no rattle.
  11. Yeah I know what you mean. I think with the black hardware the torts a bit out there too much on its own. However it cost a bloody fortune in import duties that pickguard so I’ll get my use out of it for now. I need to get round to sorting a d-tuner too at some point.
  12. My darling! I've simply found 'the one' after years of trying many, many, many basses. Tonally the most versatile Stingray i've ever owned, it's very light and looks proper bling in the lights!....yup best bass ever for me.

Hope it’s not one of these modern types without a much needed volume knob...that’d cause tinnitus!

Nobody’s asked the weight...but don’t ask her!😉....Edit. Just seen someone’s been there. Does it come with a box of assorted creams then? ....I’ll get my rain jacket 😂
  15. SOLD
  16. SOLD Harley Benton fretless, great bass with upgraded pick ups. The picks ups are custom made high end VanderEnd pickups which i forgot i had - they are hugely superior to the originals picks ups. I had started to remove the decal as I had a custom one made but never got around to adding it. Nice bass, plenty of mwah available, low action, flats, and i think it's a 1 piece Ash body with great wood grain....Jaco on the cheap £120 to your door step in the UK, or collect from Plymouth
  17. I'd certainly be interested in the neck if you decide to split
  18. Apparently you have to pay to get in these days...Eavis tops Trump on building the Wal(l) 😂
  19. Thanks for the kind words. Yes sure is a cracker, wish I could justify keeping it
