*SOLD* (Roland GI20, GK3B & Cable)

The GI has no sounds in it itself but you can use it with your MAC/PC (comes with USB lead) or external sound module/synths etc with midi in. I used it to record on Logic & Reason & other soft synths and also to play into my Roland MC909 Groovebox, it is weird playing Piano on your bass but it unlocks a whole new world. The pick up also allows you too blend your bass sound with other sounds or flick between midi only or bass only. You can even set it up so that you have individual sounds on each string of your bass!! Great piece of kit...i know i'll miss this when its gone and will probably end up buying another one some day. All this kit would cost over £400 to buy new currently. -

Recently bought this off another B/cer but now i have an Ampeg so this is surplus and i would rather someone else enjoy it than sit in our practice unit and evolve into a coffee table. Great punchy cab etc, wheels & pull bar, 4ohms & 800Watts. Been gigged a bit with scars (nothing major) but all in all a great solid 8x10 cab. All the specs are here: http://www.samsontech.com/products/product...2&brandID=3 £150 collect from Plymouth or organsie your own courier (quite heavy though) may consider trade for Squire bass, Hohnerr B Bass/Jack bass or 8ohm 2x10 or 4x10 cab.

I've always liked the Hohner B Basses & Jack Basses, very well made instruments and cheap as chips on ebay. I have a battered B-bass but would like another. However i have recently tried the Squire Biffy Cliffy (who ever he/she is) bass, the lake placid blue one as someone has added earlier, and wow i was blown away. I a/b'd against a Fender in the local shop and i still much preferred the Squire, they sound soooo good aswell as looking good too....just need some cash and i'm going that way me thinks!

I tried a Lake Placid Blue Jazz Squire (Buffy Guiro Sig model...or some endorsed geeza i've never heard of anyhoo) in Exeters mansons last weekend and i was blown away. Not bothered about the endorsment but the play, feel and even the sound was superb.......i'm currently trying to negotiate with the wife !!!
You really can't go far wrong with a MusicMan Stingray! I love mine, and huge ass end...
+1....everyone should own a Ray at least once - My first decent bass was a 98 ray and i've gone full circle via J's,, P's Ibbys & back to a 79 Ray with a big warmer bottom....something about them

SOLD Basically one of these brain units...it does a lot of other things too: http://www.roland.com/products/en/GI-20/ With a GK3B pick up for your bass: http://www.roland.com/products/en/GK-3B/ and the cables & manuals to connect it all together and make weird noise from ya bass. Plug into you keyboard or MAC/PC or any midi sound module and voila....MIDI bass. Great for dance music too for those heavy D&B warble bass sounds. Both bass and midi sounds can be blended too. Good tracking for soloing etc....brilliant for recording too (MIDI) I spent months playing drums, piano, flute, sitar etc etc on my bass.....but that was before i became a Daddy ...now i dont have time to fart so hence the sale....someone will enjoy.
Man you gotta love Bootsy I went to a TM Stevens clinic years ago and he was emphasizing the importance of the ONE. As TM's a shy and retiring type, it was both fun and educational. All this Bootsy stuff makes you wonder why some slap bassists go and ruin it all......
+1. Bootsy is the funkiest man i've ever seen (not the most technical...but the funkiest)-listen to his tight looseness on the early JB's stuff-you could bottle that funk and sell it (on a Jazz too and not Casper!)! I went through 'playing on the one' university to the point i didn't want to play a note for ages (sometimes not for weeks ) and rather wait for another big one to come round, bit like waiitng for a big wave to surf....gotta surf the biggest groove baba...dig Dennis Chambers did a good drum video too and talked about the one!

I think they're all kinda Jag shaped, smaller lower horn Whats the quality like? action etc Do you know what P.U.'s they use? Where they built UK/Korea etc? ....i'm semi interested myself as i'm missing having a 4 string passive jazz at the mo and can't really afford anything too pricey - i wonder how it compares to my Laky JO5....and i'd have to order online so no try before buy unfortunately. Good find though bro.
