1. Seen Kaiser chiefs twice and both times have been very impressed. Rare to see a band these days were you know all their set. Also met the guys in Belfast and were so down to earth ,Ricky is like Noel Gallagher very funny but without the shoulder chip.

 3.
Artist's royalties from Spotify are notoriously sh*t. I avoid it on principle.
I understand your principles but spotify paid out 1 billion dollars last year alone in royalties. As usual it's paid to record companies and they take in some cases 90% depending on your contract.
 4.
So far he's cost me Stingray Classic5, three Genz Benz heads and two Genz cabs, one large and one small. Probably planted the idea for a USA Jazz V too, lol. Love him!
He loves G&L basses now ........so get your wallet.
 5. Big Lizzy fan have everything they released and a few they didnt. Have over a 100 gigs recordings and not a bad one among them. The tribute bands are garbage compared to the real thing even the Gorham\Downey one is a very pale imitation. Phil was Thin Lizzy and gave us a great back catalogue which i am eternally grateful for.
 6. Sounds like i need one of these.
 7.
A video clip from our festival appearance at Bestival 2013. You probably recognise the song. :-)
Really enjoyed that mate...cheers.
 8. http://youtu.be/BT25g6HDVQc I went and saw Nik Kershaw doing his solo show a few months back and he was fantastic. He was saying that "wouldn't it be good" was one of the songs he had the biggest trouble playing solo ...so he turned it into a ballad. Actually sounds pretty good.
 9. http://youtu.be/xXWjdv97b9I Suppose it depends on how you approach crap songs to begin with. As Sting said about mixing reggae and punk when you take something and put it in a different frame of reference magic is born.
 10. Brand new BOSS RC3 looper used twice never gigged boxed with manual cost £130. Massive 3 hours recording time and usb connection for pc.
 11.
Having just suffered a very bad case of gas for a fretless. I've just bought (about 6 weeks ago) a Pro Series Fretless Ash Corvette, the passive model, from Thomann. It is B stock, but not a mark on it. My budget wasn't particularly large, and I was really looking at Squier's and Vintage instruments. Then noticed the Warwick on Thomann. It ended up costing me very comfortably under £400, including credit card fees on the Euro to Pound conversion. The quality of the bass is very good, even more so when the price is considered. Do I care about country or origin? Not at all. These Pro Series instruments are in limited supply. I say grab one before Thomann sells out. It is nearly Christmas after all....:-)
Sounds good ....hmmm I'm looking for a decent fretless ...
 12.
Listened to him a lot back in the day. In fact there was a period of about six months where I wouldn't even consider listening to anything at all unless it was on ECM records. Eb is a class act and no mistake.
Lol sounds like me...and my ECM ...FLAC files of course.
 13.
I havent played any of the newer Warwicks, so i can't comment on whether the quality is better/worse. But i would say if you are thinking of investing in a Warwick. i'd go second hand. I have a '87 NT Stage 1 Streamer, and someone described it to me like the Swiss army knife of basses, and i couldnt agree more. Its so versatile, i love it. I also have a '89 NT Thumb. Again, a fantastic bass, but a bit more "marmite".
Spot on , couldn't agree more. I have a 88 streamer and twice in the last 6 months I've had sound men asking me to name my price for it. Superb basses.
