  1. (It's unlikely any of my Berg cabinets will be going anywhere I should add.)
  2. Yesterday, I nearly put my CN212 up for sale in favour of my pair of HD112 Bergantino cabinets. After spending several hours both yesterday and today with the CN.. it has easily maintained its position as staying here. Now the HD's have to prove they can stay too ha ha ha!!
  3. Adam Neely - https://www.youtube.com/user/havic5 Not just a useful resource for bass but probably one of the best resources on YouTube for music education. Absolutely A1.
  4. Bought at the start of the year, this bass was to be part of a brand new band, but owing to an unfortunate series of events in my life, I had to step out of the band who have subsequently just finished recording the first album. This is a tough one as I really do love this bass and am a massive supporter of Dingwall. I am however sitting here with 4 four string basses and a hole in my bank account. Shipping to be arranged by and will be the responsibility of the buyer. The bass will be packed safely in the original Dingwall shipping boxes. Purchase by bank transfer. Collection of course is welcome. This model and specification is currently £1250 at Bass Direct. Here's the specifications: http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Comb_4_Natural_Gloss.html Not the sexiest of photographs, I'll get some better ones done in some decent light, but actually this bass is stunning

Pictures are from the previous owner (I can remove if I have overstepped the mark) in which you will see that the hardware has been tastefully upgraded to gold - official Ibanez mono-rail bridge pieces and YES Gotoh tuning keys are fitted Shipping to be arranged by and will be the responsibility of the buyer. The bass will be packed safely in shipping boxes. Purchase by bank transfer. Collection of course is welcome. 6. One of my very first reviews back in 2010 time was the BB NE2. I still remember to this day how nice it was. So its a thumbs up from me! EDIT: I've found the review! I thought it had been lost. Having just had a quick look, I'm embarrassed to say I seem to have forgotten about the B STRING in the video! https://www.guitarinteractivemagazine.com/issues/issue-7/reviews/yamaha-nathan-east-bass-bb-ne2/
  7. You know that feeling where you contemplate selling everything you really don't need and keep the bare essentials? Yeah, something like that.

Noooo. You just need a bigger house, or an extension, or trade away a child. Any of those is acceptable surely!

Oh mate.. I DO need a bigger house WITH an extension. Tough one on the kids actually. I kind alike them both. Maybe I could get the older one to do some Saturday work on the oil rigs to bring in some extra cash. Possibly a bit on the little side to operate the cranes and the like though.

Anyone know the lottery numbers coming up??? Or has won the lottery and not sure what to do with the odd 100 thousand? lol

It's worse than that for me.  Sometimes I end up in a bad place mood-wise, which results in feeling like I should sell all the gear I have and then start again from scratch.

Inevitably, this happens in moments of deep, desperate, despairing dissatisfaction with my sound. Don't judge me - we've all chased tone dragons, I'm sure.

Thankfully, most times I manage to avoid throwing the baby out with the bathwater and keep a vaguely sensible head on my shoulders.

  8. I really enjoy @alexclaber's enthusiasm and I would really like to meet Rob Chapman as I think he'd also be great for a geek out. Great video and a thumbs up from me! Looks like I gotta try the guitar cabs too then!
  9. BARGAIN! - Nice basses.
  10. I've not tube-rolled for a long while and nor did I do it enough to be able to have any authority to select favourites by ear. However, I have always liked the JJ valves when I have used them. Interestingly, buying from Watford Valves, the in house premium Harma brand STR ECC83 is in fact a specially selected, drive tested and low noise JJ - I mean, if you want the best of the batches, then the Harma represents good value for money. The ECC83S was the model I went with.. Umm.. I think ha ha!
  11. I've been using and have reviewed the DarkGlass Ultra (which I think will be out in an up coming issue soon). It is very good indeed, but like Bigwan, the announcement that Parallax has landed has me very interested as it seems to encompass lots of "building blocks" that I have been using in my rack set ups and more recently smaller gear configurations for well over 20 years!
  12. Still here! The MIDI Moose looks brand new, bagged and boxed - delivered UK mainland (tracked and insured) £80 all in. BARGAIN! Brilliant for selecting patches on any number of different MIDI controlled effects units or keyboards, synths or triggering apps like Logic or if you are heavily in to looping, Ableton!
  13. I thought I might bump this one as it's due for a refresh! What you spinning these days folks? Wanna add some cool bass to the shared playlist?
  14. To aid your sale, don't forget the TonePrints too! Mine has had the Duff McKagan chorus and the Brian May chorus and both are brilliant. The FX Level on these is perfect for us bassists!
  15. I need to check this out. the C.A.R Strat is amongst my all time favourite guitars. In my rather short list there's only one I have had the pleasure to play.. and it's not this one either.. 😂
  16. ahhh Jifs and Jigga Bites... those halcyon days working in I.T. I'll never forjet...
  17. OH! Goodness! Thank you - That means a huge amount to me, especially when the amp is delivering the goods as hoped!
  18. Congrats! I really enjoyed the brief time I had with this amp. Even now I recall reviewing it and being sorely tempted to double my chiropractic bill. - Actually, yes it is heavy but the handles as I recall did make moving it easier? I liked the well thought out signal path options of which there is more than enough to keep the tweezers happy. Great! I reckon another 4x10 underneath would be just the right amount of WOHHHH we all know and love
  19. Heh heh! I've had many near misses too. Actually come to think of it, there was one blisteringly hot day that I had to have a shirt over the top of my T Shirt due to a spillage! Ahhh that's more than cool, I think I'll just enjoy the geek out even if it is stuff I am aware of - moreover, if I get asked about IEMs, I can certainly send the link and refer to your discussion specifically. Thank you on behalf of those getting in to IEMs for doing this. I think it will be a great resource.
  20. I'm really looking forward to watching your two videos. I did see just a minute or so of the second one as I was waiting for a student to arrive here.. The scarf thing .. 😂 Will hopefully catch up with the rest later on.
  21. Rest In Peace fellow low-ender.
  22. There's no denying it has a very wide sonic palette between its available modes. Great form factor and sounds cool. I'd still fancy a @Tech21NYC Q/Strip though..ermmm.. as well ha ha!!
  23. However fine motor skills are honed by playing a number of different instruments. Even variations of type. Bass, 4,5,6,7 string. Guitar, chunky neck, skinny flat neck,,keyboard.. drums... And errr, that's why I need all of those.. (still working on getting drums...)
