1. Nicely added Garry superb!
2. Go on then, I'll give it a go. PM coming your way.
3. I'd like to hear one of these actually! I think it coupd be quite similar to how i set up my BSP.
4. Why has no one mentioned Reaper? It's incredible! I'm using it more than Logic! It's workflow is very simple to get started, but has masses of pro features placed neatly out of the way until you need them. Oh.. And the 'demo' version is actually the full version, with no limitations , just a little nag after 30 days. Its so cool, i bought a license straight away!
5. There's a free plugin you'll need to import in to the plugins directory first. Then make sure the video you are importing is of a file type (and parameters) that is supported. All of my videos recorded by me on YouTube use Reaper with said plug in. I just searched the Cockos forum for detail, as i dont think it has a specific name.
6. Beautiful! Ahhhhhhhhh, those dynamics were tugging at my heart strings.
7. Oh, just found the manual... Says nothing about your query though! http://mail.foretold.nl/foretold/equipment/GP12SMX.pdf I'm sure i had schematic diagrams for a lot of Trace gear too, but i'd have to search them out.
8. I believe the 600 smx has two 300W power amplifiers in. You'd need cabinets attatched to both the left and right outputs to make use of the full output power. The outputs are not bridgeable so you wouldn't be able to connect both outputs together in to one cabinet.
9. A pile of toys that i have had my eye on! New effects board, some studio kit and one or two component upgrades. When I'm done I'll probably advertise some other items too.Mainly though, i am slowly learning that I should only buy kit I actually really need!
10. I'm really enjoying it! It's an awesome beast with tons of power on tap. I was actually just on the 'phone to another Andy about it! There's something to be said for amps with huge power supplies and meaty output stages, i'm sure. The Kilo has a lot of girth and sounds amazing paired with my 4.5xl cabs. It's a big rig not for the feint hearted! Yeah, i'm genuinely really pleased with its features and tone. In some ways there's more than I need, but then... Everyone knows I love buttons and flashing lights!! I used to use a '99 SvT2 Pro years ago. I had in for years. It was an amazing beast with decent valves in. I think the Kilo is a nice welcome back to a nice big fat bass tone!
11. Picture on my Facebook for now: https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/s720x720/393092_10150355318153123_586168122_8616548_1208364868_n.jpg
12. Tempting as I know they are nice basses Andy, but i know it'd never get used, much like the 5 stringer I bought for teaching/ workshops. It barely gets lifted from the wall hook! Thank you anyway though!
13. Hi all! I'm feeling G.A.Ssy and fancy buying some new toys. This little rig is therefore off to a new home. I've had both cabs about 8 months I guess. I'll check that for sure! In that time these cabs have come out to two gigs and about 5 rehearsals, so they haven't been used tha much. My big rig gets far more action these days. Anyway, i'll post pics tomorrow with some more details. In the meantime, I'll do the pair for £500 collected. Really are amazing cabs with true impedance switching. You can run each at either 4 or 8 ohms, or daisy chain them for a 4 ohm or 2 ohm 2x12 monster! Both feature tweeters that can be adjusted between full on, -6dB or off. PM me or reply on this thread. Cheers, Doood. P.s. I'm in Norwich. £500 / pair / collected. Edit: pictures below, split prices and possible shipping.
14. I used to own a V-Amp Pro many moons ago. Set up well, it will reward you with a great tone direct to PA. I used to get lots of compliments about my 'tone' with it. I tended to use it as a 'set and leave' with regards to the amp model, but only changed patches for effects etc. (So basically every patch has the same 'amp sounds' but just a variant of EQ or effects). Good for the money!

Guitar Porn

I've closed the 'old' Guitar Porn thread, but for reference here's the link to it: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/67635-dare-i-say-itguitar-related-porn/page__st__140__p__1619184#entry1619184
16. Good Idea! Lets keep all in one thread.
17. This is very interesting! A good friend of mine has a 5 string Parker Fly bass he would like to sell. I'm going to need a bit more information as i will be advertising it for him. Looks like send Parker a message is a good idea! Have a free bump on me for a great bass. The 5 string plays like butter!!
18. Having said that though, the LH heads are so simple it's genius. They have masses and masses of clean headroom and go loud loud loud! - The LH is brilliant and I can't see it not be good paired with any cabinet. 6x10? Yeah! Awesome! I have the Kilo, which features the same pair of 500W bridgeable modules to 1000W and run it in to Hartke 4.5XL cabinets. They are just incredible and leave no doubt as to what the rig is capable of!
19. I've edited the title of your thread for you to make it easier to search & spelling etc
20. Standard carpet fitting spray glue is fine. You can pick it up from B&Q. Follow the instructions, couldn't be easier - I have a tin for such jobs, including coming back from holiday and finding that moggy had used my cabs as a scratching post! Grr! - Glued and looks as good as new (though the carpet could do with a bit of a 'going over' with a fuzz buster!!)
21. I did a full video review of the TTE500 in iGuitar magazine. Off the top of my head I can't remember what issue, but they are all free to read over at www.iGuitarMag.com Dooooood.
22.
has anyone got a really traditional fendery looking Shuker?
I guess the JJB basses fit in to that category - but there's loads on the shukerguitars.co.uk galleries.
23. Looks like a really old Futurama bass.
24. Thank you everyone who has sent messages already! Keep 'em coming!
