Yes! Lovely! Welcome to the Shuker family! I think everyone should get an opportunity to at least try a Shuker. Jon is a real master craftsman who makes fine basses that are fitting of waaaaaay higher prices! His basses make a mockery of those in the higher cost brackets!

P.s. keep writing ideas in the meantime. Take a guitar to rehearsals as well and come up with ideas with the band mates as it'll keep everyone focussed as well as feeling like things are still moving forward.

Hey mate! Sorry to hear this! That really sucks! My gut feeling at the moment is that if you have material you like and the other band members are still up for it, then start advertising for a guitarist right away? One that is in to the same music and wants to write. You might find someone cool just round the corner!

My poweramp option is using a 1U head, such as the GK MB series. If you can pick one up secondhand, it'll be lightweight and you have the option of using the preamp section on it too, or just plugging straight in to the return in the effects loop, that will plug you straight in to the power amp section. When I'm not using my Kilo head (i.e. a small gig) I'll plug my Ampeg BSP preamp in to th return of my GK MB800. The Ampeg BSP is a very particular distortion preamp and I am yet to find any pedal that sounds as good! but that's a bit off topic! - The point is, it sounds great using the GK power amp and makes a tiny rig too!
