Mine was a red Marlin Sidewinder!! I mean, for 1989 or whatever it was when I got mine, it wasn't a bad bass, not compared to some - and even better than some modern 'entry level' instruments today if I am totally honest. I was a ply body though, but I liked it's nod to the Jazz Bass Special and Precision Deluxe models. I too learned so so much on that bass!
