Well, this really doesn't fill me with much joy. As you'll know from my other adverts I need to sell kit that I really do not want to sell in order to pay some bills. This is the latest item and I am dipping in to kit I need rather than kit I like having. So, the price is set low to sell faster. The cheapest price you'll get on of these online new is £765 and despite a couple of scratches on the lid where I caught the amp coming out of a rack, this unit is as new. Alas, it has played just one gig (as seen on Instagram) - the rest of the time it has sat in my room looking all impressive. My original plan was to get a second Barefaced and run stereo, but car bills have got the better of me. £500 This QSC is probably my favourite power amplifier ever. Using a THUMPINATOR? No need, the DSP has a 24db/Oct adjustable HPF. - Want to use a seperate EQ for your cabinets but not your DI? Look no further. Want an amp that you can SET THE OUTPUT POWER? Yup, you can set the limiter to an output 'wattage' thus looking after your speakers if you feel that you need to. As soon as I have covered my bills I will retract anything that hasn't sold. Collection from near Norwich or postage is possible.
I'm looking at pairing 2 x 210's up with a recently purchased TC BH550. So far I've considered the Fender Rumble 210's and the TC K-210's. Portability and weight are of the upmost importance due to a dodgy back. Would love to hear of any more suggestions. Also looking to buy used. Thanks!
The TC K Cabs are a very nice pairing for both of the BH amplifier heads. I recently reviewed the entire range of K cabs with a BH head. For the price they are very good. The cabinets are very well made too and feature Lavoce drivers which aren't cheap tat at all. I'm surprised that there isn't more chat about them here on BC.
Cheers gents. I do like the Glock and Delano preamps that I've heard. Haven't seen Delano soapbars though - could be a gooden. Fine with the narrow spacing? Reasonable?
Yes, like the DCB, the SBC pickups use rails rather than pole pieces so string spacing isn't a problem. The 5 string Driver model is the same size as the MK1. The Delano pups are very nice. I'm usually an EMGer but you won't find a Bart shaped stock EMG, but the Aguilar is, really is a super contender.
-
Yeah, the MK1's left me wanting in a couple of basses. For that particular size, then I think Aguilar DCB, Nordstrand and Delano SBC (5 driver I think) should be up on your list. Very nice pups! I do agree that the preamp should probably go too and thus any of these brands preamplifiers are really nice. I;m currently using the Glockenklang 3 band preamps, which are very clean sounding.
I would love to hear some soundclips of this pickup in action. Anybody?
There's this on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFasRbajFy4 The only downside I think with it is that the Dimarzio has such a high output, the interface distorted.
Find a teacher in your local area, it doesn't haver to be a bass player. You're never too old to learn to read.
Perfect. Never to old!
Depends who is asking...

HMRC would probably want to know.
In some slightly perverse way, I actually like submitting my yearly accounts to my accountant. I might not earn as much as I did in high-level IT, but when you know your guitar earned every penny that paid all of the bills, fed and watered your family and kept a roof over your head... I feel very, very lucky to be able to call this my career. I hope I can do it for a long time.

Would like to compare the US 62 to the 'US Vintage' I have in my CIJ '62RI. I'll see if I can find any YouTube videos!!

It always surprises me that so many people have so many definitions of what something *is*. The 'Being Professional, being a professional' threads went far beyond what the dictionary actually defines. I wonder if vehicle drivers are as loose with their definitions in the highway code?

If you are actively engaging, at whatever level and in whatever manner, you are a musician.

Here's a lovely amp for you to mull over whilst you get ready for Sunday dinner. A big big sounding amp that will happily do small gigs and practices but will leave you with plenty of headroom for all gigging. Just add as many cabinets as you need. A giveaway price as I need to pay some bills, otherwise this one would stay with me for sure. Tuner on board along with the option of having two user selectable effects available via the included footswitch. Headphone output socket and auxiliary input makes this a great amp for practicing with too. Excellent condition and has been well looked after in a soft case. Note the price of the footswitch new. The whole package is therefore a great price.

Anyone have any experience with the Bergantino B-Amp yet?
... I was expecting to have to pair it with Berg cabs to get the best out of it.
Not at all, it still operates as a great bass amp without as the speaker profiles are user selectable from a menu, including a bypass option. That said, the profiles really do work very well. At the moment I'm afraid I can't post too much as I have reviewed the kit in the magazine. All will be revealed in the review issue. Dan -
Yes, it is totally crazy what you can to with it regarding setup and the Imprint really opens up the options. Check this http://www.industria...-in-bidule.html As I already said, the main cool feature of Imprint is that you can alter synth sounds with bass guitar resposivity i.e you are not just playing synth lines (what you can do with regular midi keyboard more easily) but add a totally new dynamics and sound aspect to synth sound
With the wired fretboard I imagine that latency isn't really a problem either?
I don't know the A C etc profiles... but it's ~44mm wide, much like the Classic 50s series. I love that wide fretboard.
That's cool, all I need to know looks great!
-
Looks great! Are the RW necks 'A' profile? i.e 40mm nut? I've got a 70's P bass which I think is a 41mm and it is super nice!
I'm over 6 foot myself, not as bad as people would think are they?! Ta dood it's not bad is it, still got the original Rover tape player, just turned onto 28k miles on the way to the gig. most of them have disolved now, we are planning on keeping this one forever, it's our 6th since 1998, ace cars!
I think it's because of the way that you sit in a mini, kinda like a go cart with your knees up rather than out-stretched. It's not bad at all! Looking great - my first was a T Reg that I had Slot Mag alloys and a 10" steering wheel. So much fun! The second was a little black beast that I sold when I got a company car back when I was in my early twenties. If only I knew then what I know now eh! 28K? That's amazing! My T Reg dissolved. I was changing the brakes one day when I discovered I could push a screwdriver through the rear subframe *gulp*. Needless to say the car didn't go back on the road!
May not need to buy new to get it on instalments. If you buy used from someone/somewhere where you can use PayPal, you can put it on your plastic and pay it off monthly. A couple of decent looking TC2x10s on Fleabay at the moment.

Getting " Tick " on PP That's a dangerous bit of info for me to hear
Yeah, adding my credit card to my PayPal account did result in finally getting some kit I desperately needed... Interest free! PayPal do offer credit too should that be needed.
Buy one of our One10 cabs and use it for a month - if it doesn't do what you need we'll have it collected and give you a full refund waiving the usual return postage cost. If my recommendation is wrong it won't cost you anything!
Jaw dropping customer service!

I dearly loved my Mini! Well, I had two. Which may seem odd for someone 6'3" in stature. That one looks in great nick! Cool bass rig too

Gigged the B-Amp today with a Barefaced Big Twin II. What do you think I thought about it? -
My choice would be an Aguilar Tonehammer 500 which you could find used within your budget, it could replace any larger head too for bigger gigs.
Another great amp! Tonally different from the TC or GK, but very pleasing.
+1 for this. I'm very happy with my BH800 as my main amp. Extremely flexible.
Is superb yes.
