1. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
2. PMd and happy to make a donation to a charity of your choosing.
3. If they still haven’t refunded you contact your card issuer. Whether credit card or debit card you have chargeback rights regardless; effectively your bank would contact the merchant’s bank under chargeback rules to obtain refund of the sum due to goods not being delivered. Hope that helps.
4. Seriously, nobody has bitten? Crazy value.
5. More good stuff there dudes. Close to pulling the trigger on one of 3 or 4. Going to go with a cheaper option first I think. The Marshall looks interesting. On the subject of (very) cheap and cheerful, anyone got any thoughts on the Belcat trem?
6. Having owned a (modern) Ricky for a while I wouldn’t go B-D on one personally as tonally I don’t find they have enough resonance or beef at the low end. Just my opinion though but Ricky’s are all about the bite, mids and highs for me. I string both my Precisions B-D though. Wouldn’t have it any other way and find it works beautifully for heavy rock, stoner and doom.
7. The awesomeness of Ashdown customer service right there.
We did have a batch of fans that were noisier than we would have liked it was caught quickly but there are a few out there, if it's troublesome we would be happy to swap the fan out for a quieter one for you. You are free to pop in and we can sort whilst you wait or if you want to pop it in the post we can sort and ship back to you. Just let me know. Cheers.
8. Yeah, I’m gonna bump this too! Ridiculously good for the price. The blend control works really well on this. Plenty of low end retention through the clean with some superb fuzz on top. I’m actually considering this as a spare at this price if someone doesn’t snap it up!
9. Helpful input indeed, dudes. Much appreciated. Pedal pondering has become something of an enjoyable distraction of late!
10. Cheers for that. Very helpful start there!
11. Hey all. Currently in the throes of building my first pedalboard having decided to dip my toes in after 25 years of playing with very few effects. Anyway, I could do with some recommendations for a decent Trem pedal. Not particularly got a budget as such but Unsure how much I'll use it, so if there's a decent budget option, that could work in the first instance! Cheers
12. Also PMd should previous poster not take this.
13. I'd be all over this had I not picked up a 2x12 TB combo last month. Cracking amps. Have a bump on me.
14. Cracking bass, this. Gave it a wee blast when picking up a combo from Will. Top man too!
15. Drove to Will's from Birmingham and bought his lurvely Orange Terror Bass combo. Lovely guy, great comms, accurate description of gear in a great condition and nice and easy transaction. A good 'un for sure!
16. Buy with confidence. Top guy, good comms and swift delivery. The tuner will ensure our guitarist can stay in tune live!!!
17. Bloody autocorrect! Also, my take on the CEO and cost thing. Re: John Hall. Doesn't do a lot to represent the brand in the best of lights but to be honest that wouldn't affect my decision on whether to buy or not. Value for money - based on my experience of over a decade mine was well worth the grand I paid, but the £2k plus now? Not a chance. For me, I'd never pay that for anything non-vintage. That said, I would also say there's nothing like a Ricky.
18. My two penneth I'd always lusted after a Ricky. Finally bought one in about 2004 and never got in with it. I am a dyed in the wool P-Bass guy admittedly but while the way the kids and treble cut through the mix beautifully, I found there was a real absence of low end and when playing below an A it always seemed lacking in a two guitar and loud drummer kind of band. I still love Rickys but know i just don't suit 'em. The positive to my experience? I sold it in at a £200 profit from the price I paid new. The cost of Ricky's has continued to rocket upwards to the point that if you wait for the right one you'd get a banging vintage 4001 with mojo for the same or possibly less than you'll pay for a newbie. Me? I stuck with P-Basses and massively battered and heavily modified '76 Ripper.
19. Hi, What wattage are the cabs please? Cheers Nick
