    I would order one of the alder body Z7`s if I could be sure of the weight but in the meantime I have ordered a new strap from Pinegrove leather to see if that helps. I hope so as I really like the bass, the spec for the price is outstanding.

    Spot on. My Z7 with the ash body is 11.2 lbs and on a 2 hour gig it`s just too heavy. Pity too as I love everything else about it.

    We used the Pirate studio in Kinning park Glasgow once. When we went in the smell of cannabis was overpowering and we later heard that some folk rent a room for hours, take in dj equipment and get off their heads. Never again!

    I recently bought a Laney Digbeth 500 head and it`s damm sexy Sounds good as well. I also bought a Markbass MB58R 4 X 10 cab. I don`t know if I`m digging the usual MB look but at 16 kg for a 4 x 10 I`m willing to try.

    That must be some call but at the end of the day Jeff`s health must come first. I imagine that will be some insurance claim. Similar thing happened to a few of my pals when Genesis cancelled their Glasgow gigs.

    It`s rather cheap compared to the Cliff Williams sig from a few years back. Weren`t they £5 grand plus? I can`t afford it but it`s a lovely looking bit of kit, good on you if you can get a hold of one.

    No it`s just a cash grab to pay for Noel`s no doubt very expensive divorce. Not knocking him by the way, I like Oasis and Noel`s solo stuff but sod paying that kind of money to see any band.

    My best bass and most valuable in £`s gets gigged and as it`s a Roadworn 60th aniv Jazz it doesn`t matter if it gets dinged. I keep my eye on it at gigs as it so easy for someone to lift it when your back is turned say during a break. On a similar line, I was talking to a guy in my local the other week who was playing a 6 grand Les Paul custom shop 59 re issue. After doing a soundcheck the 3 guys in the band disappeared out the back for a smoke leaving the Les Paul and a nice Ric just sitting near a door. Not something I would do especially where I come from

    If you need a lightweight bass there seems to be some nice options out there these days. If I had the need and money I would speak to Shuker and get him to make something nice and light. I have crap eyesight due to various things and wear glasses when gigging. It`s a bit of a rubbish look in a rock band but as I can`t wear contact lenses, glasses it is. In fact the one time I played without glasses, I couldn`t see the set list and a few comments were made that I was getting vain in my old age In other words, do what can to make the gig easy.     It`s a fake from a factory in China selling on E bay. It`s says so down in the description. It doesn`t actually say it`s a fake but I do know a real one costs a few bob.

    Boss WL-20 Wireless System for sale only. Vgc, comes with a new Levy holder that fits on your guitar strap, the idea being I was going to fit a short cable and keep the unit out of harms way but I never use it. £85 posted to UK mainland or collect from Paisley
