1. Lovely 😀 Particularly like the maple neck with contrasting blocks. GLWTS
2. Some eye-candy for the weekend I don't think you'd find a nicer example - make me a (sensible) offer! Keen to get the new Shuker ordered
3. Well done ! Lovely bass / amazed it took this long. New owner gonna be v please 😀
4. Thanks for your interest - Yes, happy to ship to most UK and European destinations.
5. Looking for good home! Price £1,400 ono The 5 string version is quite rare and this is in tip top condition. PM me with sensible offers.
6. NB - Can't change the price above (£1,500) but I'm looking for £1,400 ONO! Tuesday 28 Feb - Last reduction to £1,300 INC UK SHIPPING This is my Warwick Thumb "Dirty Blonde" Limited Edition from 2006. If you know your Warwicks, you'll know that these have the unique Warwick growl/punch, but can also deliver a wide range of tones thanks to the P/TwinJ configuration. Key specs are: - Birdseye Poplar Top with matching head-stock signed on the back by Hans Peter Wilfer - Swamp ash back - this makes it really light at 8lbs 6oz (yes I did say 8 !!) - beautiful flamed maple neck and perhaps even nicer Ebony fingerboard with "Gull" inlays. - Satin finish and in fantastic condition, probably 9/10 - MEC pickups (P/TJ) with MEC 3 band electronics - Volume control has push/pull for active/passive and same on stacked tone control for mid-sweep/slap - String spacing (adjustable) at bridge currently 17mm - 34" scale - Warwick strap-locks No mods, except I had Martin at the Gallery replace the graphite? nut with a Warwick brass "just-a-nut" which can give you a Marcus Miller style sound if that's your thing, and also had Martin clean the frets, fretboard and do a set-up so it plays brilliantly. New Warwick strings at the same time (I think 45-105) strung B-G. This comes with a nice lightweight semi-hard case in reasonable nick, a Warwick User Kit, and also the original Certificate of Authenticity which is pretty rare to find. I'm based in Essex, but work in Central London. Collection preferred but will post. PM me if you are interested - I don't want a trade, as I have a custom Shuker on order (or will have v soon!).Let me know if you need any more info or pictures.w £1,400 ONO NOW £1,300 Inc Shipping Thanks for your interest Dave
7. It's a beautiful bass but I guess "6" players are fewer in number - just a matter of time 👍
8. Which on my Dirty Blonde Ltd Edition is an active/passive bypass in case of mid-gig battery failure!! Nice bass GLWTS 👍
9. Wow fab price for a Thumb! Lovely example - Shame I have a full "quota" of basses! GLWTS
10. Would be nice to leave the photos up for posterity, and to help future "basschatters" see what's out there! Lovely bass from a great luthier 😄
11. Hi - is the ramp removable, and can you confirm your location please Thanks
12. Probably B string too thick to fit through - same problem with my Warwick - the bridge is very narrow so unless you file it out!! Funnily enough, Warwick strings fit cos the "winding" around the core stops before the end of the string. Lovely bass GLWTS 😀
13. Could you advise your location and the weight of the bass please. Also, any sound clips?
14. Indeed!! When you contemplated a refinish, did you get any indicative pricing?? Cheers
15. Ha ha! Same here 😜 Can I really justify another bass to the missus, and a big chunk of money.......maybe something else has to go 😂
16. Could you share the serial number so I can look up some of the archive material? Cheers & Happy Christmas!!
17. Wouldn't hesitate to send it back - very poor wood selection - looks unnatural in my view. You have the love the look as much as the sound.
18. Absolutely outstanding - thank goodness it's got a string missing or else I'd be selling the presents from under the Christmas tree 😜
19. Wow - that is just amazing! How much does it weigh?
20. Gorgeous basses - I sold mine for an identical 5 string! Lovely tonal range that cuts right through the mix. Despite being very light basses, the bottom end is incredible. Someone should snap this up quickly 😄 GLWTS
21. That's a great sound your band has and a rock solid punchy bass line - you must be bonkers to be thinking about swapping your Warwick for a Fender!! GLWTS
22. Your band has a nice vibe, and great bass playing 😀
23. This is a "steal" at this price imo. I had a 5er in black and the range of tones is immense with proper German build quality too! I didn't find the neck at all chunky on my 2006 model and nice and fast- GLWTS 😀
24. My word that is gorgeous and a fantastic price - thank goodness it has a string missing!😜 GLWTS
25. Hmmm very nice - quite tempting - how much does it weigh, and is that a satin finish?
