  1. Thanks - it's even better in the flesh! 😄. Would also consider a straight sale......
  2. SOLD SOLD SOLD Looking to trade this lovely Warwick Thumb Ltd Edition "Dirty Blonde" 4 string. It is in really great condition with only a couple of small marks, on the underside (see last 2 pics). Frets have little or no wear, although the fretboard could do with a clean. The screw head on the top of the neck pickup has lost its black paint, and there is slight wearing of the "MEC" logo on the pickup but that's it! Specification is: - 34" scale. Gull inlays - bass number 6/261 made in Germany in 2006 - rear of headstock signed by Hans Peter Wilfer himself - birds eye poplar top with matching headstock. - 19mm string spacing at the bridge - 3 band EQ with active/passive bypass - Elixir nanoweb light gauge strings - weighs in at 3.6kg (yes, really!) I'm looking to trade it as I'm playing 5 strings almost exclusively. Looking to trade for: - the same bass in 5 string. - Spector USA 5 strings (must be "natural finishes" ie not colours) - must weigh less than 4 kilo! - must be in great condition PM me with any interest and if you would like more or different photos - thanks for looking - David NB - located Essex, but pickup in London (City) also ok
  3. Could you advise the weight, materials and year of manufacture. String spacing would also be great Thanks 😀
  4. Make no mistake, these are excellent basses and 9lb is light for a vette $$. I loved mine - awesome tone, great in the mix, and as for the thundering low B..... 😀 GLWTS
  5. Sorry, but can't really make much out from your phot picture! How many strings does it have, and what is the finish (black oil?) . The weight would be interesting too.
  6. David MacGregor is a top bloke. Just bought a really nice Shuker off him, in a very smooth transaction. I would say he is an "old school" type, man of his word etc, so would say you can deal in confidence 😄
  7. Had a look at this yesterday, and it is a very nice bass in good condition. Eduardo is also a top guy. Not sure if I want a Rebop or another Warwick though. Meanwhile, a "bump" from me 😄
  8. Final bump, then the dreaded EBay! Make me an offer 😄
  9. Wow - lovely tone - is that the actual bass, and who is the artist? Awesome. GLWTS 😄
  10. Bump - will take £100 - nice introduction to Fretless for a modest outlay, or PM with offers.
  11. Thanks Jay, but not my thing. USA Spectors only at the moment. PM'd to Jorduan. David
  12. Could you advise the weight, and string spacing at the bridge. Also where the bass is located. Thanks.
  13. Bump! Forgot to mention recently restrung with Elixir Stainless Steel Nanowebs medium gauge. Sensible offers considered plus would trade for 5 string Spector with cash your way (up to £1,000 for a nice USA one) No wide neck ones though. Will consider sending, or meeting in London/South East etc. David
  14. Bump! Sensible offers welcome. Good low cost way to try a bit of Fretless
  15. UPDATE - REDUCED TO £100 ONO! Selling my Vintage Fretless Bass which I've had for about 2 years to see if I fancied playing Fretless from time to time. Long story short, Fretless is not for me. So if you fancy a dabble yourself, you can't really go wrong at this price! Although unlined, there are dot markers in the correct Fretless positions, so I haven't found it too difficult to find the notes! I believe it is a V940FL, but not sure of the woods, - the body looks like mahogany or buying a and is in unmarked condition. There is a slight dent near the body end of the neck which I've shown in the picture. All works perfectly, including the electronics, and you get a nice Fretless "mwah" sound!! Pickups are JHS own brand "Wilkinson". You can find out more info about Vintage basses at http://www.jhs.co.uk/vintagebass.html Located in Essex near Chelmsford, and I work in London. Will come in a decent quality soft case for protection, but it has a dodgy zip! Not looking for trades, just a cash sale. Please PM me if you want any more photos.
  16. Thanks guys - yes, I'll be sad to see it go, but I'll still have my trusty Dirty Blonde 4 for the Warwick addiction, and then experimenting with a different brand 5er
  17. Time to sell my lovely Corvette $$ which I've owned and played for around 4 years. Finished in Nirvana Black. German made in 2007. Body Swamp Ash Ovangol Neck with Wenge fretboard. Jumbo brass frets in good condition. 34" scale Weighs around 10lbs, nicely balanced. Huge flexibility with the twin humbuckers which can be run in series, parallel etc. Great tone to punch through the mix. Got my eye on something so, straight sale please. In good condition, some buckle rash where the neck is bolted, and a few small marks on the body and rear of headstock. Fitted with Warwick Straplocks. I'm located in Essex, near Chelmsford if you would like to try it out. Please PM me with any queries, and if you would like any more photos - it's not easy to capture the Nirvana black finish! SOLD - THANKS
  18. Same here - I have a identical 4 string - got loads of compliments on the sound last weekend - agree re the weight. Mine is a shade under 8lbs so still v light. Great price too! GLWTS
  19. Well it's the first time I've seen a S1 in this colour - thank goodness it's a 4 otherwise my bank balance would be getting a large dent! Someone will surely snap it up at this price. GLWTS and have a bump 😄
  20. How much does this beauty weigh? Thanks.
  21. Well I've got the same bass in 4 string and can vouch for its awesomeness! Shame this is a bit out of reach for me or I could have a matching pair !😩
  22. Yes, same here - fantastic bass and great price too if you don't have a dodgy back
  23. How much would this beauty weigh please?
  24. Wow, that is a beautiful bass. Love the Tiger Eye flame maple with matching headstock. GLWTS 😄
