1. SOLD - PLEASE REMOVE Price Drop - Now £1200 Hi all. Due to health reasons I have to sell my GB Spitfire 5 string. It’s the one that was reviewed in Bass Magazine and was rated 97%. The faded gold hardware was changed for black a couple of years ago Serviced by Bernie in Brighton 2.5 years ago. Played only a few times live this year. There is a bit of noise on a couple of the pots - needs a bit of switch cleaner. Locking jack, 1 year old Hiscox case. It sounds great, is easy to play and is made to the high standards that we expect from Bernie. Previous owner's ad puts it better than I can - My 2005 GB Spitifre that has been reviewed by Dave Marks in Bass Guitar Magazine in 2005! Plus it holds probably the highest marks in BGM at 97%! The specs are: 1 piece swamp ash body Spalted Canadian Maple top, Maple neck Bound Snakewood(!!) fingerboard Usual GB pickups and electronics Gold Schaller hardware Hiscox Hardcase + straplocks The writing on the back of the headstock is ontop of the laquer and rubs off. It won't be there if you don't want it to be! This was reviewed in BGM May 2005. Still got the highest score in BGM ever!! I'll include a copy of the magazine as well.. The original pics can be found here: http://s1124.beta.ph...y/GB%20Spitfire (link still works) This is a great bass, which I am reluctantly having to sell. Canterbury Based.
2. PRICE DROP 850.00 For sale is a 2006 special, limited edition signed Warwick Thumb, "Dirty Blonde" (N.6 of 218) It has flamed maple neck, swamp ash back and the top is burl poplar. Ebony fretboard with bird inlay and headplate burl poplar matching the body top. I have attached a link to the Warwick website as this has all the specifications about the Bass. http://warwick.de/en...rty-Blonde.html I am only selling as need to raise some cash. The bass plays really well and comes with a Warwick hard flight case. This is a great bass and will be sorry to see it go. Price is £850.00 or very near offer, including the flightcase and shipping. Might consider swapping for Mark Bass Multiamp and MIDI Footpedal. Any questions, please drop me a line. Thanks for looking Mol
3. Jim, Many thanks for the "Dirty Blonde". Agreed the sale on Saturday afternoon and arrived Tuesday morning well packaged and with a fantastic hard case to protect the bass. The bass is in fantastic condition and sounds great. All I can say is good things. Great correspondence and service. Many thanks. A really great fellow bass player to have dealt with. Cheers.
4. Dear all I wonder if anyone can help. I want to change the effects loop on the Little Mark III from parallel to series. I can see the jumper on the circuit board that says series and parallel and can see how to change this but just wanted to see if there was anything else I need to change. Have a service manual for Mark II which has two aspects to change, but the board is quite different. Has anyone changed this on the Mark II or got a pdf of the service manual that they might want to forward on. Any advice greatly received. Thanks Ian
