  1. I got my BAM200 when behringer were doing the ebay bstock things, so mine was £85. i run it at home into my BC112 cab, sounds great. All my home practice is through it.
  2. Normally, yes, but this is in the amp, so there is nowhere to put the HPF, unless there is one already built into the ABM600
  3. I had to get my pedalboard out to check it, so using the same method, the smooth hound is here: so about 7.9ms or there about. And because my pedal board also has my helix HX Effects, here is it through this too so about 10.2 ms - maybe another 2.3ms going through the helix. doesn't seem too bad, although we are now up to a delay equivalent of 3.4M from the cab.
  4. Haven't dug the smooth hound out yet, but here is the 5g one, using Adium as I couldn't be bothered to wire up the oscilloscope. And a guitar, so I could get a faster attack So we can call that about 5.4ms or thereabouts
  5. Yeh, I keep meaning to do the chinese 5ghz ones that I got recently. Still I have time off, maybe I can get round to it. Have a gig soon so probably should start pulling my equipment out and see if it still works.
  6. I always liked the phone at the end of life on mars. Was coming in to post the black country woman bit, but see that has been done.
  7. I liked that song the first time I heard it, it is genuinely different to other things I get to hear, which to me makes the whole thing worthwhile. The italian one was ok, a bit mainstream but the energy was good. And making any bass like noise out of a danelectro is good!
  8. I think almost certainly guitar synth.
  9. That doesn't sound stupid! I can't make sense of that either I do have a blade spare, might be worth giving that a try.
  10. Yep, dissapointing as I already had model 15 and model D!
  11. The barts are the only reason I haven't bought one of those. If they came out with a nord version I would have bought it, it's just buying it knowing I am going to have to replace the pickups that makes it less compelling.
  12. Cant say I am keen on the crater pattern on it, should have just made it one colour
  13. The same as I had, for the same sort of price. However, look at the price now!
  14. Oh hang on, yes, lets just check my bank account. Oh..
  15. I think I ever went like that I wouldn't have anything, there is always going to be someone better. But you know, you can either accept they play better and not worry, or you could accidently drop a hod full of bricks on their hand. Then whos the best player, huh, huh?
  16. I got rid of my 8 because although I liked the sound, it was basically a rich 4 and I don't realy get round to using 4s. There are some 10s around, but they seem so rare.
  17. No, I am saying that if the only thing to listen to in life was those two, I would probably blow my eardrums out. Neither of them are good in any sense I understand it. I like lots of different music, but if your argument is that you want people to sound like a drunk in a pub or a repetitive pop singer, then autotune is good! Anyway, you can sing out of tune and still not have to sing like them.
  18. It is indeed, and that as I mentioned is what I would get every time on a passive system to prevent loud thumps. You will note that default pickup selector switches for guitars (such as the gibson 2 way switch, the strat 3/5 way switch) are *always* make before break
  19. Again, for the switching but only if you have those types of shafts which is unlikely on a bass. I mean like this (although I would prefer metal) https://www.amazon.co.uk/Pole-Way-Black-Rotary-Switch/dp/B00YEU7X8O Like this if the shaft is long enough https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/294024238706
  20. For the serial, parallel part, yes but he also wanted single coil. That involves know which the front coil is of that bass.
  21. Yes, that is the right electrical type, but the shaft is a 'solid with a flat bit taken out', which is common on electronics, and uncommon on guitars / basses. Sometimes important to look at that if you want the same knobs I would also only have a make before break in a guitar wiring application if I had a choice, to avoid massive pop noises. It doesn't matter if you short two coils together or one to ground, as long as you don't disconnect and reconnect. However, I suspect you have little choice in options
  22. Its quite an easy mod. rotary switches are generally organised in poles and throws, and generally they have up to 12 positions. If you only want 3, that means you can get a 4 pole switch (sometimes in the guitar world called a channel) that will give you more than enough for this. The main issue is getting one with the same shaft dimensions as your pots (presumably the serated type)
  23. The poplar burl overwater 5, but sadly it was one of those non communicating buyers or I would have bought it.
  24. This question was answered about 2 weeks ago. Since then it has got steadily less and less clear with every continuous post. I guess it was lucky we weren't discussing signal to noise, or that would be ironic!
