I had to take the pickguard off and file out the pickup holes before i could get any moverment, although i mainly did that as it was microphonic

I think i would reserve my judgement for the quantity and quality of their output, not whether they talked while doing it or looked like they were working, that seems to smack more of the presenteeism that is common in lot of UK management styles i have seen - doesnt matter how much someone does as long as they do longer hours and appears to work

Sadly it is a random thing where sometimes they will have these things, and sometimes they won't. The stock changes every wednesday or thursday, one week it is angle grinders and flip flops, then next week it is lawn mowers and car mats. Then one week it will be different types of mains adapters. I do however get all my rechargable batteries for my gigging stuff there, they last longer than all the others.

I am guessing it is a fender special - just not one made by fender!

You would be dissapointed - I am used to people having terrible taste, and I fully support your right to have it. However, I agree with you other points, saying IMO never made sense on a forum, especially when discussing opinions on things, and smileys don't change the words! So apart from a complete lack of taste, it seems you are redeemable! 🐹

Absolutely not - sound of silence is provably awful! OK, I just listened, it is awful, but I would still rather listen to it than sound of silence. And all covers of Hallelujah are awful anyway.

I just listened to it - I really don't mind it at all, I think it brings something 'new' to the party, maybe because I am not that bothered either way about the original. The ones I don't like are normally modern remixes where they replace the drums with a drum loop, and take the soul out of something - normally so they can use it on adverts, there are quite a few on there at the moment.

It really doesn't support the actions of the state governor, it mentions them as a bad thing. I wouldn't have any problems with it as a racist song - whether people have used it as a racist song I don't know, I am sure some have, there are an awful lot of racists around, in fact a positive resurgence at the moment. We play that, again, absolutely not issues with it, fully knowing the lyrics. Read the lyrics again, there is no contemplation, all the way through it is stating that they can't do anything because she is too young and expressing concern that she was at the venue. There are no undertones, it isn't like most of led zep or stones output (or even beatles). And honestly, if she was 15 then, she would be 59 now, so pretty safe!

THere could be some element of that, but currently, the things (that we are discussing here) haven't got more expensive to make due to a lack of cheap goods or cheap debt, they have just got a more expensive price because they are making more profit. Not refering to musicman and fender and the like, the reason they seem bad is down to our economic choices tanking our exchange rate, but elsewhere. I do believe that the era of cheap goods and debt is coming to an end, but we haven't got their yet. And when we do, our era of expensive housing is really going to bite us.

No, the preamps would make them seem like low impedance, which is the bonus of an active circuit, there isn't such a thing as a standard impedance. However, if you go to the emg site, they either sell or list what values of componants to use with them such as volume and tone, so probably best to go to their site and use the values they mention (note, I haven't tried this but I assume they have).

There will always be people who can afford the crazy prices, so the easy way is just bring in cheaper ranges, so that people can buy that, knowing they are going to aspire to get the crazy priced thing later. Luckily with the second hand market being totally mad at the moment, it helps the new market to not seem so bad.

I also know nothing about chinese working conditions, although I do know American ones, which has 'At Will' employment, so you can be kicked out (or leave) for any reason at any time. I don't know if fender do or not.. Looking at glassdoor seems like the usual, good work, poor management.

US workers don't get to factor those in, whereas I would imagine that Chinese workers do get health and pensions, although I suspect average wages are lower.

Have never paid more than a £10'er for a 3 hour practice, quite a shock some of the 'good' prices here!
