1. I have one already but considering another Just wish I had the cash!
2. Ohhh! Would be tempted to buy all that stuff back if I had the cash Would make a lovely looking and sounding Jazz!
3. Xotic X-Blender is the best one available. Not cheap, but it can't be beaten IMO.
4.
Jesus, you have such a natural playing style, you make it look effortless. I look like I'm chopping logs when I play. What's with that daft slapping thing in the middle though
Lol! Thanks very much. My dad is a bass player too so I just inherited it I guess And I dunno about the daft slapping thing, just spur of the moment! haha
5. Thanks mate. I take it you mean the P from the "I Wish" video? It's a 1982 JV Squier with a Dimarzio Model P. Best Precision I've ever played! You should hear it at full volume in a band situation. Thunderous but cuts through the mix like a hot knife through butter
6. Just added "Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick" to my Channel.
7. Well I need to be in the position to have Cabs at all times, so unless something comes up for sale that I definitely want and can afford once I sell these, then I can't do a cash sale. Should any MarkBass Traveller cabs come up in my price range I'd definitely sell. Cheers
8. My attempt at Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick.
9. Feel the GAS flow through you!
10. Any interest in my Aguilar DB112 and 112NT I have up for trade? Cheers
11. http://www.supload.com/listen?s=YLivUW Me having a little go at Me and My Bass Guitar by Victor Wooten. Not quite sure how the original goes, I've only heard it a couple of times so I'm not sure how accurate it is. I think its got a nice groove to it anyway (if you don't count the mistake when I put the first 2 lines together ). I do each line first then combine them. It's my Shuker Jazz into a PJB Bass Buddy, and using the headphone out into the Mic In on my computer and recorded with Audacity. No effects applied.
12.

That is one lovely Stingray! If I ordered one new instead of going second hand, that's what it would have looked like!
13. Chingford here...Technically London but I play in an Essex-based band! Good to have you here
14. I'm close to finalising a deal yes.
15. I've decided to put these cabs back up for trade. They sound fantastic but I've decided it's time for a change! For now I'll be keeping the AG500SC in matching Chocolate Thunder headcase, but for the right offer I'd be willing to part with the complete rig...
16. Ah I see. Yeah that's the case. The Black one was the first one they brought out. The Silver was brought out as it had a "flatter" EQ response. Then the SR followed as it was even flatter!
17.
Yeah! The Wonder track is ace! I so don't play that style, I feel like having a crack at something like that now.
Thanks very much! It's just one of them tunes that makes your head bounce!
18.
Nice man! I like the authenticity of I Wish, not many people get all the little inflections, great vintage tone too. keep it up!
Thanks mate - That's what I was going for! That P-Bass really is the best P I've ever heard or played! And it's the cheapest bass I own!!
19. Just drop the E down to D. Easy fingering, and sounds better. Is it REALLY that much hassle just to drop the string a tone for one song and then back up again?
20.
More mids than the others variants also has flatter EQ which means I can shape the overdrive with my EQ pedal.
I always thought the first Black LTD had the most mids! From what I remember the silver one had less of a mid hump and was the reason it was brought out?!
21.
Hi folks Does anyone know if a gs 112 and a db 112 would be a good match from the same amp ? the amp could vary TBH Recently picked up an Aguilar gs112 from fretmiester that pops in around here and just wondering about the possibilities. It's reported in reviews the two cabs have slightly different characteristics. Do they compliment, or clash ? Thanks everyone T
I would guess that having matching sets would be better...I use a DB112 and a DB112NT with my AG500SC and it sounds AWESOME.
22. Damn - Just recently started getting into the Dan properly (knew a few of their tunes before hand but never really made an effort to check out more of their stuff) and I would have loved to have seen this, but unfortunately I'm gigging myself. Good luck with the gig, hopefully I'll be available for the August show
