Another vote for the QC. I’m not keen on the Nano due to form factor and IO, but the full QC (and now the Mini just released at NAMM) are definitely worthy of consideration. With the new V2 Capture process, the captures are closer than ever. I’ve captured my REDDI, Khan VTDI and Sushibox Neptunium into my QC and it’s great having all of them available, even multiple times in the same preset (ie on 3 or 4 outputs so different instruments can run through them separately with different settings). With the amps/cabs/IRs, plus all the captures you can download for free of almost any DI/Preamp/Amp/Cab/Overdrive Pedal, and then all the effects on top, for me it is worth the price of entry. I should caveat this with the fact I haven’t sold the actual DI units (The Neptunium won’t come off my small grab n go board because its easily the best little tube preamp/DI i’ve ever had with it’s form factor, 9v power, and versatility EQ-wise), but i’m at the point where i’m wondering if I would ever need the others again now I have them captured into the QC.

What’s weird about it? Seems pretty logical to me when the pedal is based around the screen.

Hi all, I bought this on here in July 2024 to use on an upcoming tour, then decided on two separate signal chains (upright and electric) instead of using this as an A/B box. It has sat in a drawer in its pouch ever since, so is immaculate, and has probably only had a few hours use by me. It’s essentially the same pedal as the Basswitch DI (more well known to us electric bassists) but with a couple different features, namely a notch filter, and the ability to mix both inputs (for those using mic and pickup on their upright). It’s mainly aimed at upright players, hence the name and variation from the Basswitch, but it’s a lovely and very capable electric bass preamp, and has 2 effects loops, and a DI out. A real swiss army knife utility pedal. Perfect for running 2 instruments into a common signal chain and sending a single DI out. Comes with velcro attached (can take off if needed), it’s detachable rubber feet, and its protective pouch. Looking for what I paid for it - £150 + postage, or can be picked up from UB10, London. -
I wanted it specifically for this tour, as it is what was used on the show in the west end and I loved the sound of it!

Just finished soldering the last few cables for this board for a new tour that starts in Feb. Signal chain is: Instruments > Quad Cortex MC3 handles instrument switching and muting. Grape is in one of the QC’s FX Loops. The Peterson is on the Send from the other FX Loop in monitor mode so it’s always active and gives visual feedback of instrument tuning/intonation at all times. All Ins/Outs are fed through the Mod: Ins: Upright Bass mic > Mod XLR in > QC Input 1 (XLR with Phantom power) Upright Bass piezo > Mod 1/4” > QC Input 2 (1/4” Jack) Electric Bass > Mod 1/4” > QC Return 1 Outs: QC XLR 1 (Electric Bass) > Mod XLR Out 1 QC XLR 2 (Upright) > Mod XLR Out 2 QC Output 4 (TRS) > Mod 1/4” (mix of all 3 signals (mic/piezo of upright and electric) to feed my Porter and Davies Gigster) Power: Everything powered by a Cioks DC7, with the Crux powering the Quad Cortex. I bodged the drilling a little bit, but I installed one of these nifty Powercon In/Out units allowing me to daisy chain power from my board to the rack with the P&D Gigster in it. Thanks mate, it is lovely, and I wish it was destined to be mine! Replied. Yeah - by far the best looking 69 Jazz I've seen. Just the right amount of "authentic" relic'ing! You can just tell it's been played in pubs and clubs all of its almost 60 years of life! Have edited the original post with some more info from the owner. -
Hi all - selling this for a family friend. If you are a collector looking for a time capsule bass, this is NOT it. It’s been played to hell and back and it looks like it! It’s an almost all original 1969 Jazz bass. 2 owners from new, the latter of which has had it in his possession since the early-mid 70's. It's been gigged in a family band all it's life, and has been pretty much unplayed for the last 10 years or so. Here’s what is NOT original: - A single intonation screw on the bridge - output jack - truss rod nut* - 1 strap button Body, neck, pickups, tuners, pickguard, tugbar, pots, bridge ashtray, frets all original. The frets are in bad shape and it will definitely need a re-fret, however it plays surprisingly well in spite of that! It sounds GLORIOUS - exactly that sound you think of when you think of a 60s jazz bass. It’s lovely and resonant, and with some TLC will be a fantastic instrument - I wish I could afford to buy it, I really do! *Some more info from the owner for full clarity: The truss rod is almost maxed out. A luthier has replaced the original truss rod nut for a new one, and it plays nicely aside from the need of a re-fret. The relatively low price for a bass of this vintage is indicative of the condition it is in. Can take more pictures if required.

Hi all, Absolutely mint condition Peterson tuner up for grabs. The best tuners ever! I bought this brand new last year to take on tour, where it was always left in monitor mode for checking intonation, therefore has probably only been stepped on a handful of times. Mint in box with usb cable, and unused rubber bottom plate. Velcro that came with the pedal is attached. £90 posted, or can be collected from Ickenham. -
What can I say about this pedal that hasn't already been said? Super cool and unique filter used by Flea and lots of other people. No other filter I've come across sounds quite like this little green beast, and it also does the famous "dub trick" of turning your bass into a subby monster by turning off the sensitivity so the filter doesn't open. It's been well used in it's ~30 year lifetime with a few bumps and scrapes in the finish, but all is working as it should. Somehow the notoriously "difficult to keep hold of" battery door is still intact on this one! No velcro, and rear sticker with serial number still intact also. Really cool pedal that I owned a number of years ago, and wanted to revisit it out of nostalgia! I've had my fun with it here at home, and now it's time to pass it on. Boss to 3.5mm power adaptor included. Looking for exactly what I paid for it from here a few weeks ago: £60. Add a £5er for delivery, or can be picked up from Ickenham NW London. -

Hi all, up for sale is a pretty rare beast. I bought this from this very forum a few years ago as an initial foray into Upright. Dan's original for sale thread here has some detailed info on the instrument. It's in exactly the same condition as when I bought it, as it did just one gig with me and has otherwise only been used at home for practice. It's strung B-G and has a piezo pickup in the bridge, with a single jack output on the side. As mentioned in the original FS thread, it's the most authentic sounding and feeling EUB I've ever come across, and was precisely the reason I bought it. The shoulder is detachable, and fits into a pocket within the gig bag. It weighs very little and so can easily be worn on your back with the shoulder straps on the gig bag. Only selling as I need the space! £1000 - Would definitely welcome collection on this as I wouldn't want to post it, but I could also meet somewhere reasonable for a contribution towards fuel.

Up for sale are some strings from a few different brands. All are 5 string sets. All prices include postage. The Sadowsky Blues are brand new and unused. These are wicked strings, and have been my string of choice for ages! 3x Sadowsky Blue Label Stainless Steel 45-105 with a Tapered .130 B string. £30 each/2 for £57.50/all 3 for £85 Thomastik Rounds JR345 Long Scale - Gauge 43/51/68/89/118 - SOLD Bought these as I absolutely love their flats, so was curious about the rounds! Unfortunately they weren't for me. Cut for 4 over 1 Headstock, they've been played less than an hour and been in their packaging in a drawer ever since. These are £75 new from Thomann, so how about £40 posted. Dunlop Super Bright - Stainless Steel Light Gauge 40-120 I've never tried light gauge strings, and I was curious as I've always played 45-105/130. Couldn't get on with the lighter gauge unfortunately, so these have also had less than an hour's play on them. Cut for a 4 Over 1 Headstock, been in the drawer ever since. ~£40 + postage new, so how about £20 posted. If you buy the Sadowskys and Thomastiks, I'll throw the Dunlops in for free
