1.
I\'d wanna know whether Higgie wanted to screw you or your bass! :brow: Bumpy Si
Tis quite a sexy bass, I cannot deny Is it so wrong for a man to love his guitar?
2.
Liked the tone as well BTW
Cheers! I used the Mic In on my PC so it clips in some places. If I had a dedicated interface it would be a bit better. Having the PJB headphone amp is really useful though, as it has a Speaker out, so I plug it into my DB112 as well as the Mic In, so when I record I have: My sound going straight into the computer I can hear what I'm playing as it's coming out of the DB112 The music I'm playing to coming out of my PC Speakers While I'm playing I'm obviously recording the video via webcam, so I just mute the audio from the video, mix my bass track with the original track in Audacity, then export that mp3 and sync it up with the video. Works pretty sweet
3.
Health's teeth man, fantastic fingers. I can't say anymore, blooming marvelous I'm sure you look like you're chopping logs <sarcasm>
Thanks very much!! It's such a good tune, I was hoping to do it justice
4. Haha Ah I would do exactly that, but then I'd be without a rig No point in having a lovely SR5 with nothing to play it through!!
5.
As it's you, I could do you a deal... ;-)
As this is me how about you do me a deal? £10er and a couple of screws. Can't say fairer than that.
6. As stated above, I don't really have a cash price as I am gigging often, so will need replacement cabs as soon as these leave.
7. Definitely willing to include the AG500SC for the right deal - Would love a full Markbass rig. Any of the following: Little Mark 2/3/800 LMK Any Traveller cabs considered.
8.
Yep, I've been playing them with my '73 fretless neck and a J-Retro and it's a lovely combination. The Body really sings, and even without the J-Retro, the Nordies are outstanding - I'm kinda guessing that's why you bought them in the first place! Although J-Retros are generally easy to fit anyway, the pre-amp cavity makes life so mch simpler, especially if you don't want to cut the PUP leads. Hope you don't mind if I put a link to your original pics below http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=53100&hl= Cheers mate Chris
I don't mind in the slightest. Good luck with the sale Chris, glad they have served you well! Believe it or not I never even got to hear the pickups, or the body, as I was building a Fretless Jazz when I caved and bought my Fretless Stingray!
9. I've owned two of these before. Every time I see one come up I want to buy it! But I always end up selling them because I don't get the use out of them. Wicked bit of kit, decent price too! Have a bump on me.
10. I have one already but considering another Just wish I had the cash!
11. Ohhh! Would be tempted to buy all that stuff back if I had the cash Would make a lovely looking and sounding Jazz!
12. Xotic X-Blender is the best one available. Not cheap, but it can't be beaten IMO.
13.
Jesus, you have such a natural playing style, you make it look effortless. I look like I'm chopping logs when I play. What's with that daft slapping thing in the middle though
Lol! Thanks very much. My dad is a bass player too so I just inherited it I guess And I dunno about the daft slapping thing, just spur of the moment! haha
14. Thanks mate. I take it you mean the P from the "I Wish" video? It's a 1982 JV Squier with a Dimarzio Model P. Best Precision I've ever played! You should hear it at full volume in a band situation. Thunderous but cuts through the mix like a hot knife through butter
15. Just added "Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick" to my Channel.
16. Well I need to be in the position to have Cabs at all times, so unless something comes up for sale that I definitely want and can afford once I sell these, then I can't do a cash sale. Should any MarkBass Traveller cabs come up in my price range I'd definitely sell. Cheers
17. My attempt at Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick.
18. Feel the GAS flow through you!
19. Any interest in my Aguilar DB112 and 112NT I have up for trade? Cheers
20. http://www.supload.com/listen?s=YLivUW Me having a little go at Me and My Bass Guitar by Victor Wooten. Not quite sure how the original goes, I've only heard it a couple of times so I'm not sure how accurate it is. I think its got a nice groove to it anyway (if you don't count the mistake when I put the first 2 lines together ). I do each line first then combine them. It's my Shuker Jazz into a PJB Bass Buddy, and using the headphone out into the Mic In on my computer and recorded with Audacity. No effects applied.
21.

That is one lovely Stingray! If I ordered one new instead of going second hand, that's what it would have looked like!
22. Chingford here...Technically London but I play in an Essex-based band! Good to have you here
