    A friend of mine wanted to do this. He was adamant he didn't liked BEADG and wanted to go DEADG. 2 weeks later he's loving BEADG and now wouldn't dream of changing it. It's by far the best option! If you REALLY need to keep your fingerings then just drop tune your E like normal. After all, if you want to play DADG songs with a DEADG bass, then there's going to be an awful lot of extra string skipping/muting. Would take a lot more effort than just learning to play BEADG IMO.

    Jesus that is my perfect Stingray, right down to the last detail. It's the first time I've seen a 2EQ Teal with maple fretboard. Usually they've all been 3EQ. Damn it

Mu-Tron III with dying batteries is correct. I have an original Mu-tron III but have never quite managed to get the sound by putting dying batteries in it. I find it much easier to just run a fuzz before hand
