I've had universally good experiences with both Stringbusters and Strings Direct.
strings direct have awesome customer service trouble is that the price of the strings has gone up a lot not just a few pence but 3-4 pounds a set of one's I buy which is a lot of cash
Hi Ellie, what a coincidence! Your name is the same as my daughter's and it's also the name I've given to my new custom s-s Maruszczyk Elwood pictured below!! Oh, and I play an SWB-1 too among other things. Just saying...
Hang on a sec thought this was Basschat not a dating site lol
I got this a few weeks back, such a good quality guitar for not much dosh. I wonder how much better the U.S. built versions are. Anyway, it's great, plenty of tonal options, comfortable to play and to me, a pleasing design.
As you asked him to fit new tuners i suspect you're not that confident doing any work yourself. So you can either take it to someone competent and get him to pay for it, or get a new neck from Poland. How on earth did he do the damage ?
my guess is he bashed the old ferul out with a flat blade screwdriver and dug in to the wood from behind can't really see how else you could f*** it up like that hope he did not charge you for the job only real fix is a strip and refin or bodge and live with it I would refin as it would annoy me to much -
Awful news thoughts are with his family and friends at this sad time
All the new gear I've bought is from Crimson guitars. They took over a month to send it. But it's nice kit.
I was told that it comes from Portugal or the Philippines dunno whether it is correct though
The socket in the link is mono, as long as the bass is passive, that will do the job.
yes they are passive
Yep, quite rare too nowadays. I have it on Gumtree for £70, selling it here for £50 just because of the ad fee I would have to pay for values over £50. Great chance for anyone who is going to get it!
wow gumtree charge for sales over £50 now? Glwts
Corvette 5 string, Bubinga body. 2000 Streamer Stage 1, 4 string 2005 Corvette 4 String 2004 Streamer LX 4 string Fretless 2008 Fender MIM, with Bill Lawrence P-46 pickup and Babizc bridge I guess I'm progressing towards playing a 5er, but don't want to ditch the 4s. I find the 5s heavy. I did own a Thumb 5 string too, but sold it. The Bubinga Corvette is heavier, but I re-built it from being a wreck. So it comes with a certain degree of sentimental baggage.
Maybe you need something a bit different to the Warwicks in the heard a wild card bass so to speak or a tone shaping pedal?
and a C9 That looked promising, but EHX state on their that it isn't a talent booster, alas. Seriously though, the demos I've heard have been a bit patchy - and it won't reliably track below C. C9 might be better as it has a 'Prog organ' - which is kind of what I want I think (like VDGG 'theme 1'). I'd imagine I'd need to add some fuzz too.The Mel 9 looks cool though - not sure I'f ever use it other than trying to imitate the choir on Firth of Fifth. Most of the demos are for guitar unfortunately. Pretty close though.
I have never tried one but they seem well regarded on bass I can't really think of anything else but I am no effect guru
