1.
If you know someone who comes in Belgium or north of France soon, i buy the bass....
couriers get there quite often so I hear
2. Sandberg basses are great I would like one but most of the ones that I tried seemed really on the heavy side of things you say that this is a light bass compared to your others so that is a good sign
3. I used 1 bass as my main one for ages but for some reason I just fell out of love with it and god knows why its a great bass I tend to always go for the same bass everytime I pick one from the wall I have other basses but tend to favor one over the others
4. Huge kiss fan here and would like to go But I bet it is going to be well over priced will look into it though
5.
I stocked up and purchased a a load. Let me know if you want some. I only have 5str NPS
Thanks for the offer fella but I not long ago did my yearly string buying blowout lol
6. I had a tutor for a while and it was a waste of time and money all he did was get his bass out and show off playing solo parts and then at the end of the lesson asked if there was a song I wanted to learn and then printed the tab off the internet for me to learn until the next week I gave up after about a month he was a great player but a sh*t teacher If I did it again I think a proper tutor would be great
7.
True - but taking into account the OP's financial situation, and the fact that he posted that comment at 5am - there may be extenuating circumstances... I hope so anyway.
True but we all feel sh*tty at times but it is no excuse to take it out on others
8. Ibanez Talman https://www.thomann.de/gb/ibanez_tmb30_bk_talman_short_scale.htm?sid=cdf37e86da549aafbb97d3468412b733 I know it is a PJ but is a great bass for the dosh I think they so a P bass version called the Mikro aswell
9.
Blue, you remind me of me 5 years ago after 20 bottles of cider. You talk sh*t. Tell you what, pack one up, ship it off. ill get it by monday Bub
Think he was just saying he could not do without a bass as it is the tool of his trade and I think your reply was a bit rude if you dont like the answers you get dont start the thread. Anyway I do hope you resolve your situation I know it is hard I have been there myself and it is not fun but the way I look at my basses is they are only things and life goes on who knows maybe when your a bit more flush you could buy a better bass
10. What a disappointing thread I thought it was about the Thundercats cartoon I loved that when I was a kid and still do lol
11.
I used a similar a neutrik on my bb614 was reasonably easy to fit, solder a couple of wires your good to go.
This it is a really easy job if you are unsure what to do youtube is your friend and that jack should be fine
12. I have gone back to Rotosound RB45's I stopped using them a few years back as there was am issue with dead E strings but been using a few sets for the last 6 months on various basses and am very happy Dean Markley strings are worth a try the nickel rounds are pretty good, I loved the Helix strings but they dont make them anymore
13.
Lovely and a mirror image of my soon to be restored Wal. Owned by me since new in 1988. It was originally black poly and I foolishly removed the finish back in 1991 making a mess of the body in the process. After much discussion with Paul on options I decided to have a new body built and have gone for birdseye maple facings as I think they will make a great contrast with the original black poly neck. I love the idea of having a bass which is a mix of original era built by Ian and new era build by Paul. 14. Seems more late 60's early 70's to me and I an not so sure on if it is home made or not but I am totally guessing
15.
AFAIK there are other products on the market, that do the exact same thing, but don't have the "Gorgomite" brand name. FWIW, the people I spoke to had the item (Gorgomite itself) posted to Ireland for the equivalent of about $10. Looks like they DO ship to the U.K...if you get in before Brexit..!!! http://gorgomyte.com/Puchase4.html
Ah nice one will take a look at that cheers
16.
Glad someone's heard of it. Two guitarists and a bassist I know, also recommended it. Going to give it a try. Cant go wrong... for the price.
true but I tried to order some and it came up at £24 posted on ebay and I don't think they sell directly to the UK
17. Been using Ashdown gear lately and think it is great would 2000W be OK for home use I don't like my neighbours so I guess it would lol Glwts mate
18. I really look after my basses the ones I use always get a proper clean once a week and even if they have not been used they come down get a polish the tuning checked and every time I change the strings the board gets oiled the setup checked and new batteries installed I am a bit naughty with the ones I do not use I keep them clean but not as much as I should, really should sell them but Im a hoarder lol
19. I don't mind Nike Kershaw but I think that Howard Jones is just awful everything about him just bores me silly
20. I was seriously thinking of one of these basses in the future but this thread has saved me a grand I mean if a part like a jack is cheap and nasty sh*t what other components are cheap and nasty sh*t and the quality of the part is a poor excuse just looking at the soldering sorry my post is so negative stuff like this just yanks my chain I hope you get your bass sorted mate
21.
The soldering on the bottom wire is very poor as well, if one of our lads did that they would be practising a lot before being let loose on anything.
on a bass that expensive it should be spot on looks like a two year old soldered that up very poor
22. That's lovely for some reason I always thought Lull basses were the sh*tty relic type but this is great Glwts chap
23. I think they look great but I think how much it weighs will be a big selling point I know some woods are light but I can see an all wood board with all the connectors and power etc being pretty heavy and most people seem to be going light nowadays
24. I would not pay £90 to see Metallica I was a huge fan of the stuff they did up until the black album and IMO anything after that is awful so there would be no way I would want to pay to see them to listen to the newer stuff and a few old classics and £90 is way to much but I would be curious to know how much of that £90 the band actually got after everyone else involved took there slice of the pie
25. Red labels are fairly good and I think gear 4 music are the cheapest supplier in the UK atm
