Thunderbird replied to inthedoghouse's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
What a Twat simple as £320 for postage is laughable and I am sure some of his terms breach ebay rules -

Last time I played in a band was about 20 years ago on one of those silly 6 string things and I was awful lol I had a huge break from music then took it up again a couple of years ago but I really have no interest in being in a band for various reasons so I just love playing at home and tinkering with my gear and enjoying it for what it is I can play what I like, when I like and can mess about with pedals and silly noises to my hearts content right now is the most that I have ever enjoyed playing music and my standard is nowhere near as good as it used to be I don't play in front of people any more not even my mates I know that sounds silly but if I am enjoying it right now why change it I just find it relaxing with no pressure and no hassle I really respect gigging players though it is a lot of pressure and hassle with bands and money and everything it takes a committed special person to be in a band I think
Thanks Thunderbird, sounds awesome. And NO, you have not helped with my GAS at all Tom - I've PMd you ...
It is a lovely bass I would love it but alas no dosh and it is a bloody good price and if Tom says it is immaculate it will be
Forgive my ignorance - but what is a KiOgon loom, and what does it do in this instance? From the pics I can't really discern - is the black thingy for the killswitch a button, or..? I am asking because GAS for this bass is making me sleepless, btw.
A Kiogan loom is a top quality loom made with CTS pots and a switchcraft jack it also allows you to change pups without having to do any soldering and trust me Tom is a great bloke to deal with and this bass is a peach oh and I think the black cover is from where a kill switch used to be
Karl, I have the SPB-3 and the chrome pickguard if anyone is interested, thanks for the kind comments matey. Paul, you say the nicest things Oops, I had a Kiogon loom made with a kill switch because I play in churches, stops me having to turn the volume down every time I sit down.
I shall wash my filthy mouth out lol I cant see this hanging around long it is a beauty mate GLWTS
As I have no PC atm it is at least an alternative to nothing. You get used to the screen and keyboard and you can access the web on the move. And my phone is part of my ISP package so I have unlimited calls, texts and bandwidth...
I have an old netbook you can borrow to get you through if you want Mark

Hi all I am selling my awesome Hohner B2a this is one of the original ones I think it is a MK2 as it does not use the EMG selects (which is a good ) NOW £350 DELIVERED I dont really want to sell but needs must this bass as what you could describe as a nut and bolt rebuild when I first got it wasnt too great but I have spent a lot of time and money getting it to this standard it is a classic iconic bass for sensible money and I can honestly say there are not really all that many in this condition kicking about any more. The bass has been stripped down all electrics cleaned and tested (still has all the original electrics) and the LED even works it can be used in active or passive modes just flick the switch. The Steinberger licensed bridge has also been stripped down cleaned up oiled and everything on it works smoothly as it did when it left the factory. Even the D tuner is spot on Truss rod is fully functional the bass has just been set up and a fresh set of genuine Stienberger double ball strings have been put on I will also include another brand new set with the bass. The only non original parts on this bass are the pick up mounting rings as the originals had deteriorated beyond repair. Frets are in fantastic condition and look almost new and the bass has the original Stienberger leg rest I was going to get the bass resprayed as there are a few belt type marks on the back they are really faint as you can only see them in a certain light but I was advised not to get it sprayed as it did not really need it and it would also devalue the bass. The neck is lovely and clean no wear marks body is lovely and clean no chunks missing and no other marks or damage (except those on the back that are mentioned above) I cant think of anything else to mention I did have a fellow basschatter look at the bass when visiting me and he said it was an absolute gem I honestly think you would struggle to get a 30 year old classic bass in this condition for so little money it is not 100% perfect but it still is fantastic for a 30ish year old bass £340 reduced 325 I will include a tatty yet fully functional hardcase in the sale any questions ask away free post or you can come and pick it up No trades please

The first thing I would be doing is checking how straight the neck was with a straight edge or hold your string down at the 1st and last fret and use it as a straight line. Are you trying to adjust the neck with the strings up to tension? if so slacken them off and just turn the adjuster in small amounts say a quarter of a turn a day then if that helps before going any further
