I thought this would of been long gone GLWTS mate
6. Saw this pop up on the bay and I know there was a basschatter looking for one but I cant think who so am posting it here on the off chance that they see it http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Warwick-streamer-signature-P-Nut-Signature-III-/331286076747?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item4d22305d4b
7. I bet the Spitfire geezer is loving this
8.
I like them a lot when new. Plenty of bite and presence. However, they can go dead quicker than some other strings sometimes.
Agree they sound nice when new but they go dead seriously quick and ain't exactly cheap I gave up on them a while ago (super slinkys)
9.
Blimey, the Precisions are even cheaper - entry level P-bass for £60! http://www.thomann.d...120bk_ebass.htm How much do Thoman charge for shipping?
!0 euros about £7 but the pickups are crap but for £60 cheap enough to swap em
10.
So how much are they worth?
Well there has been a few on here that have sold for around £550-£650 but I think £840 is pretty high for one but I am no expert
11. I cant recommend the Daddario EXP strings enough they are fantastic and I play metal/rock and love them and I really was not much of a Daddario fan before trying the EXP's out but I love them I am also a Huge Rotosound fan and love the sound of a set of Roto 45's on my active bass
12. They are great bass and perfect for modification you can make a truly awesome bass for about 200 pounds and a bass of the same kind of spec with a Fender on the headstock would cost about 5 times more obviously the bass with Fender on the headstock will be better in terms of quality but if you cant afford a Fender or whatever these are corking value for money and coming from a huge Fender fan like me that's a compliment and would like to add Thomann are a great company if you buy one and dislike it you can pay the return shipping and get your money back
13. Bump it up stick a white scratch on and you could pretend to be sting
14. I needed a small nut and washer for a project it was a silly size and I could not get one so John came to my aid and sent me one it came at supersonic speed and really helped me out John is a really great guy and a credit to the forum
15. Paul Just bought my Vintage P bass from he paid instantly and came in person to pick the bass up we had a good old natter and he listened to me rambling on about modified basses lol Paul is a really polite honest and trustworthy chap I would deal with him any time a lovely hassle free deal it just doesn't get any better big thumbs up from me
16. I bought a pedal from Ian he got it to me in good time it was in great condition and it was a nice and easy deal
17.
Thunderbird - Surely if anyone on this forum likes this bass it must be you!!
I Know I know lol
18. So Billy has pretty much paid the best part of £160 for a guard that does not really look much better than a 10 quid crappy Chinese one from ebay that Spitfire guy must be coining it in I would would be bloody annoyed if it was me and I am surprised Paypal did not do much they are really good helping buyers normally
19. I would say go for a second hand P bass and upgrade it a bit could easily be done with your budget I know it is not a bit different but is dependable, or maybe something a bit vintage like a Westone or Tokai Love rock bass? https://www.google.c...64%3B768%3B1024 They are different and sound nice IMO I have never played one though so do not know if they are heavy or how they play
20. Keep having a look at this but I am unsure if I like it or not I should think it will sell soon
21.
Damn, that's a nice looking bass. Have a bump on me.
Thanks guys
22.
Personally I'd never pay more than £30 for a set up since a professional can do it in no time at all. And when Andy Viccars worked his magic on my basses that's all it cost and he even threw in a neck shim, bridge realignment, and a cheeky fret dress. Made a budget Shine SB26 play better than anything I've ever had my hands on!
Thats really good but if you live somewhere where there is not really many pros you either do it yourself or pay over the odds I think £30 for that set up was amazing value
