  1. I must admit I haven’t looked at the MIDI capabilities of the VB99 at all. I kind of assumed it was just for pitch to MIDI conversion. When using the FI I obviously use the 1/4” input on the VB99 but ideally I would use the 13 pin input on the VB99 and have the FI working via MIDI or something because I can’t have it between my bass and the VB99 when using the 13 pin cable.
  2. The VB99 can be used with the FC300 but I don't have one at the moment. It does have MIDI in and out and I'm sure there are way is can get the FI and the VB99 to talk to each other (would be great if it could somehow work like in an effects loop) but I' have to get an expression pedal to use with the FI. Tbh I don't really find myself using them (or floor controllers, which is why I sold my FC300) so I'd possibly try a cheap one. Where does it connect to, though?
  3. How would I hook up an exp pedal then? Again it’s quite possibly covered in the manual!
  4. The pad. See what you can do!!
  5. Yes loads of sustain, can you hear it?
  6. You should be spanished
  7. Just thought I’d post some pics for no reason. Other than love graphite. Wonderful stuff when used correctly and responsibly.
  8. My pleasure 😓
  9. Yes I think that's what happened - all organised and sorted now. I downloaded your pack and will spend the weekend synthing. Very impressed so far.
  10. I don't think so, the only way I think you could is by going to your profile and you cans see all your posts by clicking the 'my activity' button, et voila https://www.basschat.co.uk/profile/21-bigredx/content/?type=forums_topic_post&change_section=1 Then I guess work backwards to around the date in question!
  11. Ah good plan. I’ll do the same. Just had a panic that the editor wouldn’t load because I moved the directory folder. Put it back and it opened. Yeah I’ll sort out my structure now and hopefully make some cool sounds to share. Here’s one synth sound I really like and will try to copy. Synth sound at 55 seconds
  12. Lovely. I’ve never had one but always respected anyone who uses graphite
  13. That’s cool. I’d be tempted for my Wingbass but I don’t think there’s any room left what with all the synth gubbins in there. I’ll have a look later anyway.
  14. Thanks very much for that, I'm sure you're tired of having to explain to idiots who should just RTFM! All makes sense now - I even managed to download and try your Mutron patch just now. I've made a folder with all the files in and will have fun playing with them. Do you find it best to keep a spreadsheet of what's on your pedal so you don't end up writing over things or so you know which patches to overwrite if it's one you won't use? I know you can just reload the default ones at any time but I feel I could get lost quite quickly! On the VB99 you have all the default patches stored under a second bank so you can A/B against the default sound which is sometimes helpful.
  15. Looks a bit TOO much to be honest!
  16. Ah bugger me I hadn't downloaded the directory. Done now. Is the pedal meant to show -- when using the software to change patches?
  17. Right I turned the pedal off and on again(!) and it works now when I use the on screen keyboard, but changing patch by pressing the pedal makes no difference to the sliders/screens, all that changes is the sound the keyboard makes. Have I misunderstood how this editor works or something?
  18. OK Thanks - still the same though do I need to change something in the MIDI Studio? Told you I hate MIDI
  19. OK well good to know I haven't lost my touch - I've installed the UM ONE driver and done the setup via the MIDI Studio in OSX as instructed in the UM ONE readme. I opened the editor and selected the UM ONE as the In/Out All that happens is that my pedal shows --5 as the patch and pressing the keys on the app makes a long sustained note that doesn't stop unless I hit a string. Knew it wouldn't be easy! Help!
  20. I don't mind isolating with it
  21. Yeah me too, and you can instantly recognise the sound. I know what @4000 means about the focused sound although it sounds quite warm played over the front pickup - although I bet it works well on a fretless. Clever thing about the early Vigiers is how the neck stops where the front pickup starts so you get the warmth of the wood with the consistency and even response of the graphite. Even though the two pickups are far back and next to each other you can get a wide range from P type clonk to rear pack up bark by panning the control which is really surprising.
  22. I think Moses made a graphite neck for them but the idea didn’t take off but there are a few floating around Here’s one! https://reverb.com/item/35148197-kubicki-nos-rare-moses-kubicki-ex-factor-neck-1998
  23. I could do you a special signed photo?
  24. There’s a bass I’d like to buy for sale in Jaén, Spain. Unfortunately the seller won’t send outside Spain so if anyone is nearby I’d love it if you’d go and check it out for me and potentially buy it snd send it to me. I might even pay you back. Cheers ped
  25. Annoyingly I haven’t ever played one but always think they sound great recorded. Also annoyingly I found my ‘88 Vigier’s sister (#709 to my #711) for sale in Spain but the bugger won’t post. May find a helpful Spanish BCer to be a go between! The plan would be to turn it into a fretless to match my fretted.
